Kaellan, kush strains do it naturally. They have a term called the Kush Kurl, that is very common. There are a few outside issues that can cause it though. Like the guys above said, heat stress. Too much heat causes the roots to begin drawing the moisture out of the leaves and into the plant to cool it down. It is a response mechanism for the plant. Also, the humidity being too low in your room will cause that. If you are in veg stages you should be, depending on stage, early stages of veg around 70% RH, mid-late veg around 50-60% RH and during flowering 40-50%, last week of flowering I try to drop RH as low as possible and temps as close to 70F as I can get. Low humidity and bright lights cause the plants to respond by packing on trichomes. It is a defense mechanism to try and protect the flowers.
