Always too many in the stash
So I was able to come by a good deal on heat syncs and luminous CXM22’s and they happend to be all mounted etc with no extra cost. I also have two hlg-240h-54b drivers. I have to build the frame for these lights and need some help with an idea for the best layout to cover the most space, I was thinking of splitting it into two lights to have two separate grow trays, can you guys help me out ASAP just because I really need to transplant n need to get one driver running asap to be able to cover the space(current light wouldn’t cover it)
My idea for the 5 cob light is
[---x---x---x---]
[-----x----x----]
And for the 4 cob light:
[----x----x--]
[--x----x----]
Sorry if these diagrams are not perfect but it is good enough to get the idea

I wouldn’t put the odd colored one on a constant voltage driver with the rest of the cobs. They appear to be 4000k and the darker orange one looks like a 3000k. These have slightly different forward voltages.

Wow just realized that as you pointed it out I will double check the cobs once I get home, they should all be 3500k not any different(may be a shadow). I have a 5x5 grow tent right now(not that I expect it to cover the whole tent)

I just enlarged the pic of the cobs and when looking the positive side it has darkening discoloration. Is that just the way the photo shows or are they burnt from someone pushing them to hard previously.

Wow you see discoloration? Please let me know with these pictures—reread ur post I was panicking too baked haha it was the sun from outside casting a shade it’s night now so more even light for photos

They look the same to me now. Don’t tell anyone but I did build a light with different cct’s Lol. It was more for a test to see what happened to them and I did plenty of readings afterwards and things were fine. But this does not mean it’s right or that it won’t fry the whole string of cobs. I would never have left it alone without super vision. The amount of cobs I have fried by testing things out it a little bit overwhelming. Be safe!

Perfect that is what i like to hear, I have been up all night doing nothing haha.Ill send you guys a pic of the light hopefully built by tm
edit: could you guys help me with the spacing of the lights, i have the 1/8" angle aluminum, self tapping screws, etc to build the frame
Now with the wiring, so I have a bunch of wagos connectors and I am having some trouble with. I have no problem with understanding how to wire up 4 of the cobs in paralell with the 5 way box, (4 positives from the cobs 1 positive for the driver) but when I am running 5 cobs how would I go about wiring this up paralell?
-idea: maybe i could just run a "jumper" wire just like between two wagos connectors or is this a bad idea?

for sure, hey man can you let me know how far to space each cob (each light will total 250-260w) and one driver will have 4 cobs one will have 5 ( if youd space them differently because of the slight watt/light) but I am going to scale it down on a piece of paper(to help me see it in front of me to build towards it) then get cutting once I am able to know proper spacing. @bushmasterar15
