One for you orchid lovers , we call this up my way a black orchid - Cymbidium Canaliculatum - ,it has a beautiful smell to it , when my kid's where young the said it smells like a bag of Lollies , really doe's have a nice sweet smell , they are native to Australia and ther are heaps in my area , most of the times they are found high up in the trees in hollows , the one I got today was from a tree that came down in the cyclone early in the year , I will get this one back to good health as I have grown a lot of orchids over the years .
