Extraction Decarboxylation for optimal CBD THC levels

I forgot to add, I use size 00 caps. For the double cooked you can use size 0 caps. Another thing, all solvents have a saturation point. I don't know what it is, but I suspect you could cook a third time with maybe half the amount of plant matter. I figure that would give a dose close to that of a dose of RSO. However, the double cooked is very potent. I had to cut the most recent batch with 25% more oil, and even then it STONES you......lol!

My lady has MS and we have been slowly working her up to this dosage. Right now she's taking them three times a day. When she builds some tolerance, I'll go to full strength double cooked. I use only bud in the double cooked medicine. I believe that the triple cooked, and maybe the double cooked, using a higher dosage, might be good for cancer patients.

Thanks for the saturation info. and the idea of double and even tripple cooking the oil...that is really amazing to be able to infuse the coconut oil with the dose that is close to RSO. I thought of making RSO but did not like the idea of using all these solvents that might leave some residue in the oil, so coconut oil turns out to be the best solution for me and I will definitely use it when I will make my first batch.

My father is a recovering cancer patient so I will make him a double cooked batch first and start to build up his tolerance very slowly until he can handle the triple cooked oil. Do you advise on using caps or can I also just give him a quarter teaspoon at a time. A noob like me will probably make a lot of mess and waist some material when trying to fill the caps.

Depends if he can tolerate the taste. You can put it in any food also, milkshakes, baked goods, etc. Caps are convenient though and easy to store. We give our dog fish oil for his skin and I use a bottle from them to store caps in the freezer. I keep the frozen just to guarantee freshness. I've left them out in a bottle for a month though, with no spoilage.

Yes! encourage him to try it! This may be gentler than RSO/QWISO/QWET and is free of chem/alcohol contaminants, and is faster, easier, and much much safer to make. I feel it is a way to accomplish the same thing as those concentrates. That has been my goal in trying to perfect the oil making process as much as my limited capabilities allow! My lady and I feel that the oil has kept her MS at a standstill at least, and we hope to see some reversal however small, with the current strength of oil.

And one last thing. I have no scientific information to corroborate this, but it seems to me that the oil doesn't reach its peak potency until refrigerated for a few days. Merely and unsupported observation but it seems to me that the difference is quite noticeable from the freshly made

I use to do all this pre-heating and also did the heat the oil and freeze it and reheat it etc. For oils made at home, not in a lab, that's all a waste of time. The only time my oil gets cooked more than once is when I'm re-cooking with a second batch of bud.

don't get me wrong, most any way will work, but the charts and info given here will help you make oil with top potency consistently.
Decarbing at 250F for 27 minutes will give you both the max THC and CBD. if you look at the second chart you'll see CBD decarbs only minimally slower, 97% for CBD vs 100% for THC. Use the same temps and times for both!
