I have a stealth grow in a closet. I'm running a 2x4x6 tent with passive intake, an ACinfinity exhaust, and a carbon filter. In my first couple runs, I was using this space for everything: Veg, flower, drying. No issues. I just took the lights down, jacked the exhaust, and the tent stayed right around 70F and 40% humidity which worked well enough for my drying. The stank was contained, and it all went great.

This time around, I had the bright idea to throw four plants in my tent. I really didn't think they'd all make it. For one strain, I had a good idea of flower time (~11 weeks), but I couldn't find much data out there about the other. Based on where they're at now, though, I have every reason to suspect they are going to finish at different times.

So now I'm in need of a dedicated drying space that is stealth; unless I can figure out a way to dry some plants in this tent while flower lights are still running on the slackers. I've read a little about the paper bag method which sounds awesome, but I couldn't throw a paper bag in my flowering tent (Could I?). It wouldn't block much light, and the temps would still be higher than ideal. There are other areas in the house where temps are ideal, but I have no good way of scrubbing that smell without setting up ventilation, and I imagine 2+ plants' worth of yield will put off an aroma.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I might have to throw another tent + exhaust + filter up for the purposes of drying. if I need to do that it's not the end of the world, but I'm hoping some of you rockstars have other solutions. As it stands, I have 6 more weeks to put something together, so it's not a fire drill. Just want to get it sorted before it's a crunch.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

I just use a box with 1 hole on each side for intake/outake and do the paper bag route. I have a small fan blowing on 1 of the sides and I can feel it pushing air through to the other. If there is room in your tend you could go this route maybe. Or have a Y connection on your tent exhaust and run some ducting to your drying box.

ohh i should mention, For paper bags I just use a bunch of lunch bags filled with about 7g's each and stuff the baggies in the box.

This is a cool idea. Maybe I could set a tote or some other kind of both upstream of my tent. Give it a passive intake and feed its exhaust into the main tent to utilize the fan and filter? Thanks for the idea!

A second tent/fan/filter for drying is pretty ideal imo. More control over variables and smell. Then you have a 2nd tent for back up and starting seedlings, etc...

I just dried a couple test nugs in a paperbag hanging in a closet. It was way too smelly. I couldn’t imagine a few plant’s worth.

Hail boognish by the way :pass:

You are probably right. I think either way I'm gonna have to find some more space somewhere. Tent is taking up all my closet space. I was hoping to inline a box upstream of my tent, let its exhaust pass through intake of main tent, and just have the box sitting somewhere in my lung room. But that would be sacrificing a lot of stealth.

Only downside to having another tent is resisting the urge to grow 2x the weed! Feels like a slippery slope, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Thanks, fellas.

:headbang: Stay brown, and hail the boognish! :headbang:

As a perpetual grower, I too had to find a way to dry my nuggs while my tent is running...I use a large tote with a small inline fan and strategic vents to exhaust into my tent where a carbon filter handles all smell. Must do a good job, my wife stopped gripping so much.

buy a wedryer. its a drying rack that has a built in fan and carbon filter and comes in dark black color so you can keep inside tent or closet space if need be. or can keep in a seperate space as wont smell much. personally i like the wedryerxl. it is just bigger and better but maybe you can get away with the smaller version. it has changed the life of lots of stealth grower friends. can also keep in same space if it fits. cheers.
