Hi grow lords... I'm Vlad. I've been kicking around the forum for a few months now and growing for quite a lot of years, usually without (m)any problems..

I've got this Dinafem Critical Cheese auto on the go at the mo..

..and she's not happy with me.

I usually grow in Biobizz Allmix, (heavily ferted soil from the UK- in case anyone's unfamiliar), but changed to a light mix this time, and as you can see I've run into problems.

Here's the kit,

17L plant !t dirt pot (fabric pot)

Plagron light mix with added lime- 4 tablespoons,

600W HPS on 19/5,

All the fans and stuff,

DutchPro nutes,

A&B for autos, Multi Total, Explode and Plant magic Magne-cal.

Temps have been between 24 and 31°C, this has always been OK in the tent in the past 8 years, RH is around 60%, always too high I know but that's something I have to live with.. again, never been a problem before..

She's been fine up until the last two weeks, so I've been hitting her with cal-mag every couple of waterings with just below full dose of base nutes & Explode.

She's still drinking 2L a day.. Thirsty bitch but her overall colour is getting lighter and as you can see in the pics, leaves are dying off and the bud growth has slowed right down.

I've tried every trick I know.. (That'll be one trick! I'm a one trick pony![emoji38])Not working tho..

Here's a leaf in normal light..

not to sure with soil dude but on some of the leaves theres burnt tip (over fertilization) but the bottom looks like nitrogen def and calmag do you think it could be a ph problem causing lock out :shrug:not much help I know but maybe @Waira can help the man knows his soil and pretty much everything to do with growing I will give @sanguine a shout as hes grown in soil also hope you get it sorted mate:pass:

I know those brown spots look like calcium defs but they wouldnt normally appear low down like that as calcium is semi mobile. That very last picture of the leaves in natural light is shouting phosphorus deficiency to me.
But i would wait for @Waira analysis

I take it your nutes are chem based and if so have you been ph,ing your water? You might have lockout so i would flush her and the give her a nitrogen or veg nute feeding along with a heavier dose of cal/mag and ph the feed water.Hopefully that will gren her up a bit.If that helps start feeding flower nutes along with a lighter dose of cal/mag.She might need some phosphorous and this should be in your flower feed.

Cheers Wilee! This one had white tips on the leaves from day 15ish.. Never seen that before, it's still there and isn't getting much worse, hence me still feeding to keep her green.. I usually pH the water to 6.5, been nearer to 6.2 this time tho.. Maybe I need to go lower? [emoji848]

I'm half tempted to lob some Tomorite at her.. Sounds crazy I know but it's worked before!

Hey Nam! Nice to meet ya mate! [emoji111]️[emoji1365]

Yep, they're chem nutes and yep I always pH my feed/water.

I'm trying to avoid flushing cos the grow's in my cellar thru a little trapdoor.. I'll do it if I have to tho, but it's not gonna be easy!

(Also I'm a lazy bastard![emoji23])

Cheerz bud! [emoji6]

Hey Sanga! I haven't got a clue mate!

Gonna collect a few replies here if poss, and pick the bones out..

Thanks for yer help buddy. [emoji111]️[emoji1365]

:toke: hey Vlad -- Wile, Sang'--

... I'm thinking P defc. (nice call mates!) as well,... larger patchy necrosis is it's trademark symptom; Ca tends to be finer, scattered, or hugs the veins,... So, that said, what are the NPK #'s on your products, and the dosage please? P can get pinched out (rendered unavailable) at lower pH too, so we need a decent pH reading to determine if this is a plain ol' lack-of defc., or a acidity lockout one... if you have a pH meter, you can do this improved run-off test and calculation-- ( https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-for-run-off-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/ ).... you're best option is a quality pH probe, as nothing beats direct in-soil reading! Accurate 8 makes a good one for the $ --.... Once we know that, we can determine the best correction,.. I don't like to flush unless necessary, and adding more P in blindly w/o knowing the pH might make matters worse,... If it is overly acidic in there, then a flush is called for, and after the r-o test, you'll be half way there already (you'll see when you read the instructions... have some RO/DI water on hand too, it's part of the accuracy improvement in this method, which is otherwise sucky for accuracy)....

Thanks for the help peeps..

Right.. Today I bought this..

So I'm thinking, Nick some mud from the pot, rinse it in the water, dry it then test it. Apart from I'm colour blind...

ONLY JOKING! [emoji38] I can see properly which is a surprise given my massive right arm..

Anyhoo, I digress...

Here's the only NPK info available on the bottles.. Mine have no info on them, I had to go to a grow shop in London and photograph the bottles.. It's all chemical formulas tho so I dunno if it'll make sense to anyone..

Gonna dig the mud out when my boy's in bed and take it from there.. Life is waaaay to busy for defs ATM!

The soil testing kit is accurate to half a pH either way but I'll have to do it in daylight.

Many thanks to you Ganja Gods... [emoji111]️
