High folks.. got the itch to jump on a big ole airliner.

Visited Colorado back in 98', Jeepin and Camping. Drove through RMNP and headed south, settled outside Gunnison and Ouray for a few days each. Had intentions to visit Canyonlands but the forecast was for 107* so we opted to spend more time at elevation. To this day I surf listings on Christies and Sotheby's awaiting the day I get the golden ticket... and pack up the family. ;)

So, i'm thinking about a flight into Denver... Rent a convertible and hope it's not raining.

I'd like input from locals on this fall's happenings, any "trade shows" or other gatherings I could schedule around? Bestest dispensaries? Nice 420 friendly accomodations?

I WILL get back out there with the Jeep again and complete the SE Utah portion as well but this time around i'm looking for comfort, great scenery, some nice smoke and perhaps a hot tub.

So please fill me in...

I've only visited Colorado once and got stuck in Blackhawk working around all the casinos so not much sight seeing for me. But would definitely go back if I could. Hopefully so others jump in and give you a better run down of sites and things to do.

I have a sibling who has lived in Colorado for a long time and when I visitied during the summer, there were daily showers. Short and sweet.

I'd probably look around the Lyons or Estes Park area for a 420 friendly bed and breakfast or something like that. Some nice little pot shops in Lyons, very scenic area, really short drive to Boulder if you want to take in the hippy college scene, and not much further to Denver if you want to get into the city for the big crowds.

I don't know the big events, since I'm your basic introverted, don't get out much type...but if you're looking around Labor Day Weekend the "Taste Of Colorado" festival down in Denver is usually fun. Mostly just lots of food vendors and stuff vendors in a huge fair type setting, but they also get some decent bands on about four different stages that you can catch for free and some other stuff going on.
