Diagnonsis required: Autoflower Brown dots/patches

Hello everyone,


This is my 4th grow did CFL only before now doing Mars II + CFL

My setup:

1x 400W Mars II light
2x 125W large CFL 6300K
3x 105W large CFL 2700K
2x small fans
Tent stays open for circulation
AC will be on in the summer to regulate temp.



My plants:

2x AutoXtreme from Dutch Passion about 19 days old

Autoflower Seeds

Problem:

I have pictures of the leaves could someone tell me if this is nut burn? I flused with 10L each plant just in case.

Would appreciate some times & help

Biobizz i gave 1ml per litre.... too much?

Cyclos- I think you have a P defc. going,... it's not the typical symptoms showing, but this fits best with that necrosis pattern,...I think I see other defc.'s starting too, could be why this looks more atypical...after that flushing, nute' levels are really low in that soil... -?- what are you using, BTW? Biobizz is very mild stuff, so I'd be dosing at recommended levels,... get us a close shot of the top growth in normal lighting too please! For now, get some Ca-Mg going as well as the regular fert's,... and of course, a soil pH reading is going to be needed too...

Hey, thank for your response. Here are the things you wanted to know

1.) PH Runoff water was 7.2 too high?
2.) Biobizz only I used 1ml per litre as instructed.
3.) I have a theory: Could it be that water fitler take out important nutrients for the plant? I am using a product called Brita which takes out all the Chlorine and Calcium from the water.
4.) More pictures as requested below without the Mars II LED Lights on

Question about Cal Mag:

I currently use Biobizz: Biogrow only for bloom and adding Biogrow TopMax when they bloom. Do I need to buy Cal/Mag or is it already inside the Biogrow?
Would like to hear what your opinion is about adding Cal/Mag (from Botaniccare) including the Biogrow? Or will that burn the plant?

hey bud-- LED's are notorious for Ca-Mg issues, so I'd be adding that regularly no matter what; 7.2 is too high (alkaline), but I need to know what the pH going in is, and how you're testing....with a meter, I assume..? -- clean and calibrated recently? here's some testing tips, though i dislike the run-off method due to inherent sources of error... getting an Accurate 8 soil pH probe is the ticket!- nothing beats actual direct measurements in-soil,...

...The Pour Thru Method for Testing Container Media
1. water containers to saturation (so that a few drops of water come out of the bottom of the container) with the normal irrigation water they have been receiving
2. after container has drained for one hour, place a saucer under the container
3. pour enough distilled (DI) water on the surface of the container to get 50 mL (1.5 fluid ounces) of leachate to come out of the bottom of the container (Table 1)
4. collect leachate for pH and EC testing
5. calibrate pH and EC meters
6. measure pH and EC of samples

Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:

Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5


....I'd increase the conc. of the Biobizz, maybe 2X, to treat,... you definitely need the bloom formula, and you might want to consider a P-K booster supplement too,...TopMax has almost no NKP values, it's not a fertilizer, it's a humic supplement,... BioBizz is a very mild product, and like many organics, it's incomplete without the whole series,...read your labels/ingredients carefully, to note what is/not in there,... Botanicare Cal-Mag plus is good stuff, and very complete-- Cal-Mag Plus contains: calcium, magnesium, iron, boron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, copper, cobalt, iodine, beneficial vitamins, twenty essential amino acids and select botanical plant extracts.

Waira I highly appreciate the tips I really do!

I will buy the Cal-Mag today and give it on every feeding. Could you just tell me how much i need to add during veg/flowering please?
Additionally which nut do you recommend i buy for P-K booster during flowering?
Also you said I need to Bloom forumla... I thought I am only supposed to add it during flowering??? *confused*

About the pH i will try to follow your guide, and to answer your question I have the Ecotestr pH2 did not calibrate it will do it as soon as i get my hand on a 7.0 solution....
I dont have a EC tester though.....

.... Missed this before-- the Brita filter has a particulate and carbon filter I believe, which will remove fine particles and (carbon) some metals, chlorine, certain organic compounds, but will do nothing to the hardness (CaCO3),...

....you do need a bloom formula, regardless,... many of these nute' line have a feeding chart/schedule, which usually includes you blending various parts of the line-up for complete nutrition,... one bottle does not do it all! Look it up at their website, mate, and you'll see what I mean,...
>> follow directions on the label for the Cal-Mag bottle for dosage,... new pics could be showing some Ca defc. too,... symptoms can be tricky when they aren't exactly typical--hazards of diagnosis! P defc. tends to make large, splotchy dead areas, Ca defc. random spotting, often along veins,... you have something of both going in appearance, so where it's happening can help resolve, along with soil pH...Your suspected alkaline conditions affect several metal micro-nute's more than the macro-nute's, but there's a small window or reduced availability in P at 7.5-8.0.... your lowers are most affected, hinting at a mobile nute (P is one) being removed and piped up to newer growth where it's needed most.... Ca is poorly mobile, BUT it's symptoms can manifest pretty much anywhere, though usually, initially, at mid level or higher,....so that's why I suggest getting both going regardless. I use a different line of nute's, not organic, but there's several choices out there-- look them up! I know Roots Organic makes an P-K booster,...
..as for the pH, what's you water source? Is it tap, and really hard( full of minerals)? ..could be the source of your high pH,...Indeed, an EC or TDS meter would be handy,... until we get a solid reading, it's dicey to have you tinkering with pH adjustments,.. getting your water/nute's soln. down in pH is pretty easy, with specific products, or even vinegar or lemon juice,...softer water will help too,...

1.) So I understood you correctly, that I can use this Brita filter or is it better to go for tapwater?
2.) I have Biobloom which has a N-P-K of 1-2-2 I guess i need something stronger?
3.) Tap water: Yes my tap water is at 8.1 full of calcium, chlorine etc which is why i thought it would be better to use the Brita filter?
4.) About PH i will do the test you asked me to do and hopefully I will be able to fix her issues.

For now she is doing okay i suppose not to stunned 24 days old..... Hope she will start stretching soon.
