My first girl Lucy. She's been extremely kind to me.
I've looked at pics and read til I went cross-eyed and I can't figure out if my girl has a nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. Or is it zinc? pic2.jpg pic1.jpg pic3.jpg Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If you are growing in a sterile medium and only giving them water they may have many deficiencies. Where are they getting their nutrients from? Or is this just a guessing game? I'm not going to guess until you give me a hint.

Ok. Thanks for not playing.

Looks like mag def. What are you feeding with, and have you used any cal/mag?

I haven't used CalMag, I watered with epsom salt and water from boiling egg shells 3 days ago.
Feeding, I'm just using Shultz liquid feed, 10-15-10 every third watering, molasses every second watering.
This is my first time trying to grow, and It seems to be a lot more confusing than tomatoes or peppers. I grow a huge garden every year, so I know how to take care of plants, but this is a different animal.

I recommend getting some cal/mag that will help now and also during flowering much faster than the egg shells that are very slow in delivering calcium.

:toke: --- I'm with Nammy, looks mostly like Mg defc. to me,... N defc. can start out looking like this, but usually it pales-out the whole leave fairly evenly, plus that food is pretty N heavy,... In fact, I'd stop using that Schultz food too, 10-15-10 is not a good ratio for cannabis, and the specifics of the formulation and sources are not good either,... foods like this often drive the pH too low in-pot! Epsoms are great, but as it's a salt, it's not the best long term solution, besides it has no Ca in it, just MgSO4 (S is great too though!),.... how much per gal are you using, ditto for the molasses? This is good stuff too, some Ca, Mg, K and a little Fe in there,... But, if there's heavy nute salt build up in there starting, it will interfere with other nutrients' uptake, including Mg... from the looks of the other leaves, this might be the case here,.. get us a whole plant pic please, and the other info,.. what soil is this, do you pH adjust the nute solution, and water (if needed),... I suspect a flushing might be in order to purge the excess salts,.. we'll see!

>> Talkative-- are you sure you have the right thread posting here?? Clearly he's in soil, or maybe soilless, so nothing sterile about that,... the opposite of what is needed in such mediums in fact,... and he said what food he's using,... and Sick Bay is not the place for "guessing" anything!

oh, yeah, now he is letting loose with all the hints. He started with just a yellow leaf no info. Soil or or soilless, yeah that narrows it down. How do I know, maybe he's 50/50 coco perlite. Geesh, all I asked for was a teeny hint so I wouldn't have to guess. How did I know he was even feeding it anything? Or maybe he is 100% organic. Maybe he fed just one time and next morning this is what it looked like. He said any info would be helpful and I didn't even get a thank you for the link. I'm not playing anymore, just give it some cal mag.

..the problem is assumption dude, absolutely unwise when diagnosing, much less advising- :nono: ...and the pics show a pot, so there's that clue right there about "sterile mediums", and what the hell is a sterile medium anyway? Soil, soilless, hydro, whatever, beneficial microbes are always important,.. nothing can be kept truly sterile unless it's in an environment designed for it, for whatever odd reason,...... the vid' has good factual info, but doesn't address the specifics in this particular case, which may not be a simple lack-of type defc., given the inputs he's stated,... In this House, Sick Bay, you make sure your advise is solid and well thought out, with the right info in hand before you do so because somebody's efforts and $$ are at stake,... This is true outside of here too, point in fact,... it's great you want to help, but make bloody sure what you say is actually helpful, not speculation, guessing, or just plain wrong,...
