Blue dream
Hey guys I'm a first time grower and am currently growing 5 blue dream autos.. The soil im using is happy frog with 30% perlite and I added dolomite lime to the soil as well.. I use tap water to water with and I let it sit for at least 24 hrs to let any chemicals burn off.. I ph the water to 6.5 every time I water.. The girls are about 3 and a half weeks old and it looks like one of them has developed some sort of deficiency.. Any help in identifying what's wrong would really be appreciated..

How long have the tips been turning down you might be a touch hot on your nutes. What nutes are you using?

Sorry about the late reply man my phone was messed up.. I'm using happy frog with 30% perlite.. The thing is I haven't used any nutes yet..

hey sorry you having difs for a week fella, this should be in the live help/infirmary section.that way smart people see it and not eejits like me.
nice healthy green but then with funny looking tips, ive no idea pal but hopefully someone like @Waira could get you pointed the right way again.
good luck
:pighug:

:pass: Thanks @archie gemmill mate! ...thread moved,...

>> @Joemac879 :toke: ... that's very weird man, she looks otherwise healthy and growing well,.... the tip claw is usually a symptom on N -toxicity,.. the tip burn from too much nutrients,... neither of which fit if you haven't feed yet! No nuthin' at all, right, not even Ca-Mg? I can say that all FF soils are a gamble these days, even HF, which is the milder kind,.. mainly because their soils often test out at badly low pH's, in the fucking 5's sometimes! :nono: ... Others get OK bags,.. you might have as well, since there are no other signs of pH trouble here,... Well, symptoms are so minor, i wouldn't sweat it for now,... and you'll need to start bloom nutes soon,.. what do you have? Starting with dilution is wise,.. how much depends on the NPK#'s of your fert's,... also, at some point I very strongly recommend you get the Accurate 8 soil pH probe ( by Control Wizard), for good, in-pot measurement of pH,.. the run-off method is generally crap, a PITA, and who needs that?

When I tested the ph runoff a few weeks back it was like 5.4 and I totally freaked, so I added some dolomite lime.. I'm going with the general organic nutes and am only feeding my other 4 girls a 1/4 of the recommended dose..

... Hmmm, well that at least gives a crude idea about the soil pH,.. it's off,.. dolomite is the slowest acting form of lime (minor but significant chemical differences), and likely won't help much is the time left,.. was it nearly powdered in form? That will help with speed if so,... as a top dressing though, not enough contact with all the soil to be very effective,... GO is good stuff, and pretty mild, so if the others are fine, I'd start ramping up the conc. levels,.. are you using any inoculants? The microbes are key for organics, as they do the breakdown into forms that are absorbable by the roots,... as for this one, I hesitate to do anything when there's not much damage showing, however puzzling,... Did you collect the r-o in a clean saucer, no cross contaminants to skew the pH reading? Is your meter recently calibrated? .... if things progress more, and the pH stays too low, then we'll consider options, like a flush,...

I am fairly sure that lime takes weeks to months to become bio-available to the plant. I could be incorrect. Also have you had any extreme changes in temperature? A change in temperature can effect the amount of nutrients the plant uptakes. I.E. more heat, more water uptake...more nutrient uptake. I had what I thought was a nutrient problem once (this was before I went organic and was using bottles) and the problem was I was using the same PPM in the winter that I was in the summer. Once I upped the PPM everything cleared up. Just a thought but maybe the temps have been higher the past few weeks...and the plant is able to uptake more nutes from the FF soil? Just a shot in the dark.

Besides the "claw" everything else looks good in the photo. I would keep my eyes on her but sometimes you cannot explain these things. They have a way of working themselves out on their own. LITFA (leave it the f*ck alone) is sometimes a growers best friend.
