I never knew that... I don't think super soil contains any silica to my knowledge and I have some diatomaceous earth on hand I'd like to add to my plants if someone knew a good ratio per gallon and the best way to integrate it into the soil.:smoke:

Sure does...I add it to my soils no set rate but somewhere around a cup per gallon is how I use it maybe a bit more its not going to hurt anything but the pests in the soil...microbes are fine with it.

Sweet but my plants were potted like a week ago so how would you go about adding it now? Just pouring it across the top good enough?

Yea u could top dress it be careful with the dust as it can be harmfull breathing it in..would be better mixed in as when your soil dries out it won't turn back into dust like a top layer but it should stick to the top soil after its watered good..first couple times it will prob float on top of the water and then kinda sink in...try to bottle spray it it after you top dress. Also can mix with water real good and water your plants with it..mix well...if you will be transplanting at sum point then add it to the soil mix then..hope that made sense and helps..a bit rippd.

If you use it this way, it will diminish any pest-prevention, which is cool since that isn't what you're using it for in this instance. DE is most effective for pests when it's still a dry dust. :peace:
