New Grower DieselRyder - 50 days - help a newbie with some questionss!

-Diesel Ryder
-day 50 since germination
-2 Gallon pots
-soil mix : 70% shultz organic potting soil, 30% perlite, epsom salt, bat guano, blood and bone meal
-grow from seed under a 2' T5 HO 4 lamp fixture (2 bulbs 6400K, 2 bulbs 3000K)
- no nutrients, nothing but filtered, airated, pH balanced water


I am wondering how many days you guys think i have left. I am just really confused about the time frames involving flushing and removing fan leaves to let the buds fatten up? ive heard alot of different things

Also for some of you more seasoned vets, would someone give me a rough guesstimate on what they think dry weight will be after harvest?

Many of us don't remove fan leaves unless they are dead or causing sickness. Autos will use up all of the stored food/energy in those leaves at the end of its life. THOSE LEAVES will help fatten up your buds on your DR. Just give her time. As far as flushing. I've never done DR so I'm not sure. Somebody more knowledgeable will likely be by shortly to lend some advice on that. Good looking trich action on em already!

i have removed a fan leaf here and there, i was told it would stunt vertical growth and encourage a more bushy plant. probably shouldnt have done that then

Hi Lowgrowin'

He he he Looks like the Home Depot Grow. At least you had the sense to stay away from Miracle Grow. They love to push the stuff. But peeps are catching on, and not just MMJ growers.

You can flush, 3 x's your pot container size with water. twice, three days apart, in the last week of grow.

However, you are doing orgainc so in my opinion, you don't need to. other's have thier ways, this is just mine. Nothin' tastin finer than orgainic indoor bro. You didn't add any chemical nutrients? then you should be good to go at harvest.

Don't remove leaves unless you know they are gone yellow, you don't have a lot, so keep what you have. Seems to me you could have had your light closer during the stretch period. This would keep you internnodal distance closer so them bud at the joint can grow together, and on top of all their gooey dank goodness.

Otherwise pretty good job. One day I will tell the nightmare that was my first grow.

Okay, so you still have white pistils, so you are not ready yet, Are those D. Ryder's 60-70 day strain? You may have to go a bit longer, but judge better at the time. you want rust colored pisills (hairs), about 99% or red, or what the strain says. I hope someone with thiose kind of lights can help you more when it comes to these types of lights and days til harvest equivellincy.

Im well aware these plants arent much. I made alot of mistakes with removing leaves, transplanting half way through the grow, having the lights to far away. they still look nice and it was a good learning experieince so im looking forward to harvest . i have a 357 magnum LED panel on the way and just acquired some DP Think Different seeds from my local seed bank so my next girls are going to be alot more juicy

Okay, I guess someone should tell you. People do not like answering this question about yeild. For one thing, you could pack on twice the weight between now and harvest just on density increase alone, and not visually from a distance. Another reason is that perspectiveve means everything. I see you got the cup in the picture for that, but it is still visually misleading. Not intentional I know, you did try to put it it in perspective for us, thank btw. Those reasons are fine, but I think the main reason people stay away from that question is the whole Karma thing about it. It is a deal where you don't want to jinx something, or don't count your chickens kinda deal.

However there is no rule against guessing.. One of the other members harvests, then sets the stuff in a bowl, and tries to get us to guess, but that is already dried and harvested bud.

But I will take a shot, What the heck. hunh? I am gonna say,...... hmmmm.....(add 2, carry the 7, divide by half......multifply the primaries.....)

This is why we don't guess, I think I will hurt your feelings if I say 20 grams per plant, I am adding 20% of what I think it is right now, to the total to compensate for the swell you should get in these last stages.

my feelings will not be hurt guys! just a few little test plants to get my bearings, i was hoping for maybe 14g a plant at most, my hopes werent high because of the power of the light
