Here's what I'm working with: a 150w magnetic ballast, salvaged from an all-in-one reflector/ballast combo, & a cheap 6" air-cooled reflector.

Now what I need advice with, is this right here....

How do correctly attach these wires? I know the black goes to black, & the white goes to white, but what about the green?

Can I just attach the green wire to the other green that's screwed into the ballast frame?

Should I unscrew that wire and attach the greens together, isolated from the ballast frame?

Or should I attach the green wire from the reflector to a different spot on the metal ballast frame?

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

...so here's what I did, & it seems to be working...

It looks like this should work. I just need a little something to keep my container tomatoes alive inside when it gets too hot here in the desert outside in the summer... they don't like 100+ degrees...

Here's what I got going now in this hood, 150w magnetic ballast HPS &150w electronic ballast MH

You're fine. As long as the ground wire (green) it attached to the metal frame as you now have it you've completed the grounding circuit.
