over driving fluorescence in this way is dangerous.it will lead to short bulb life and could result in a bulb catching fire.

Hi Pop,
Just picked up a 6 light T8 fixture from Home Depot for $84. I already had a 4 light T5 but the trays in my plant stand are 24" x 48" and the T5 only allows me to use about a 12" width. The T8 fixture gives great coverage over an entire tray and the reflector is well ventilated so I can really keep it close to the plants. Put in 2 each 6500, 5000, and 3000 bulbs for a nice mix.
