I'm a bit worried about that too and humidity if close all the "windows" lol. That's my white rhino that keeps growing. A bit of an issue. I might have to raise the whole structure another foot or 2 off the ground. Hopefully rain wont take it all down lolThat's a good example of recycling you have don there. I'm only afraid that your going to run out off vertical space. Oh well, you can always raise the structure with four poles of some sort![]()
Its vapor barrier plastic. Is that uv friendly? I leave one side open most of the timeIf that plastic is of a type that blocks UV light you will end up with mildew on the plants.
If it blocks UV light you are likely going to get PM. It is opaque so it probably blocks UV. I would leave the top open during daylight hours. Its vapor barrier plastic. Is that uv friendly? I leave one side open most of the time
I'm fairly certain that plastic used in vapor barriers isn't made with any kind of UV resistance since it's usually buried in the structure. What gets exposed to the elements eventually becomes brittle. Its vapor barrier plastic. Is that uv friendly?
All opaque plastic will block UV light. Blocking UV light and being UV resistant to degradation are two separate things. I used vapor barrier last year over a larger structure. Within one week I had powdery mildew and bud rot. Growtogrow here on the site warned me.I'm fairly certain that plastic used in vapor barriers isn't made with any kind of UV resistance since it's usually buried in the structure. Helpful feedback everyone. Thank youAll opaque plastic will block UV light. Blocking UV light and being UV resistant to degradation are two separate things. Even plastic greenhouse sheeting will degrade, rarely last more that a few years.
