New Grower Doctapurp's first grow: Purple Kush Auto

Hello All!

As promised I'm starting my first grow journal of my pk autos. I will be using 2
5 gal equivalent Air-pots with OF soil. Grown under a 100w draw LED light by advanceled. For ferts i will be using the trio with molasses and epson salts on standby if needed.

All this will be grown in a DIY closet growroom that i have lined with panda poly.

I have chosen pka for its amazing color(purp ofc) and for how easy it is to grow according to the research I have done and the grow logs I have read.At the start of my first seed I had a little taproot problem that was easily fixed with a little help by Wg (Thx bro!) through my introduction post. Now the plant is on day 16 as of today and seems to be doing great. I have another pk that is only on day 7 currently under a fluorescent light fr a few more days before i switch it to my LED.

Temps in the growroom usually stay between 75-81 degrees with a RH of 28-35. Is this ideal?So far my pk#1 has been fed twice with only P.H. Water @ about 6.4-6.5 with a run off of 6.1. My pk #2 has been fed once with the same ph balanced water but with a run off of 5.8.
I will post a pic of my grow room as well as my pk1 under the led and my lil pk2 under the fluorescent light. Tell me what you guys think!

Looks like you have your sh*t together my man!!! I would up your RH to 40%(sweet spot!!) If you have a hard time getting the RH up, a wet rung out bath towel thrown on the floor will work. I have PK's at day 40 as we speak. I have a journal going on those if you want to check it out. Going to need some Cal/Mag(botanicare or the like) with LED and autos. Molasses might not be enough early on. All my autos needed cal/mag by the second week, but I blaze em with 500w early on!! great looking set up, and am looking forward to watchin this!!!"Choccy Munchies" I love the PK's!!!"Munch..munch..munch

Thx Briman and CGR for taking an interest in my grow. I'll most def sub ur purp grow briman and get that RH up.I have a humidifier just sittin in the grow room w8ing to be used. As for as the cal mag funds r low atm but that was my next item on the list even before your recommendation lol. Idk if you guys can see the pics but it won't let me see em i might have to code em from another upload site. HaHa im trying my best and i feel like I have read over 100 books of research before starting this grow. Hopefully it will all be worth it a few weeks from now

Yeah, got your pics! If your RH is 28-35%, I would try the towel method before I fired up another electrical appliance if you dont need too!!!! What you save in $$$ on electricity from not firing it up for the net month, you could pay for a bottle of cal/mag!!!

Hey and Welcome!
Things look great so far. The towel works well I used it until my RH bottomed out in the dry winter we are having. Then I need the humidifier but not for too long, then things bounced back. Cal/Mag is definitely needed I discovered on my grow. I chose General Hydroponics CaMg+. Mostly because it does not have any other nutrients in it and has some molasses. It was not too pricey and I find it very economical to use at a tsp/gal.

Hey Doctapurp Looks like you're off to a great start :thumbs: I've got a PK just a few days behind yours so I'll be following along.

Also if I'm not mistaken... looking at this pic you've got a rare triplet leaf formation. If so consider yourself lucky, the few journals I've seen that also had this the plant did quite well and grew at a quicker pace than the others.

Sup Hans and wwwillie thx for joining in"AFN smoke out". Yes it most likly is the trip formation and already today it has grown like crazy from yesterday. So I guess im a lucky one ( I hope) and that it will produce bricks . I also forgot to mention that i started both my pks under 24 hours of light but recently switched em to 20/4 about 4 days ago.Also what signs should I look for mostly for a cal/mag deficiency?
