Indoor Does increase in relative humidity decrease water uptake?

55% humidity based on the chart to get in the middle of the green zone. 1.13 is what I would aim for . If you have good air circulation . You do not want to go too high humidity to prevent mold on the flowering girls.

so 55% and 70F? is that warm enough for seedlings and veg? i know its prob perfect for bloom

Yup should be ok imo and based on the chart looks ok to me. But I am no expert by any means . Will see what recommended vpd for seedlings and early veg but it should be the same throughout I think.

Winter here is incredibly dry....having a RH of 10-25% is absolutely standard in my grow space depending on weather outside. Interesting i have read about the negative impacts of a low humidity.....but ironically I have never seen a negative impact on seedlings or mature plants. Grow 5-8 different strains twice a winter.

There was a time when i would do everything i could to raise the RH. This round i decided to say screw it and didnt even mist the space a single time at anytime throughout their lives
Current grow at day 42 living in a 25%RH or lower

Maybe not ideal....but hell it works for me!!

Interesting i have read about the negative impacts of a low humidity.....but ironically I have never seen a negative impact on seedlings or mature plants. Grow 5-8 different strains twice a winter.

Same RH for me too. Canadian Rockies. Like Denver North basically. But the big 9 gallon humidifier I got works great. I've got it on low fan speed and middle humidity setting and I have a solid, so far consistent 50%. Could probably go quite a bit higher if I wanted too, like jungle/rainforest humidity territory. But I don't want to go above 50% because of mold. And the big tanks mean I don't have to refill multiple times per day. Might get away with refilling every two days.

I'm watching my plants now to see if I notice any differences. I do actually but I'm not sure I got a real handle on this at all. I also reduced my temp from like 80F to 70F to get this in the VPD green zone. Now when I walk in the tent it feels cool and just a little humid. Feels comfortable. If I was a plant, I'd say it feels stress free!!!

Ooo rockies!! You lucky devil! Beautiful country out that way(drive east a couple of thousand KM to get here). If i "could" control my RH i would keep it at 50%, but during veg i would rise it a bit higher, but midflower I would run it 45-50%. Stagnant air is the enemy.
