New Grower Does this LST set up look like it could work?

Hi all,

I currently have a what I believe to be pre flowering auto anesthesia growing in my Green house in the UK. I think it is around 50 days old.

I only just thought of doing some LST to it, is it worth it at this point? The stem seems relatively thick so I'm not sure its a good idea. Here is some photos of the set up.




The first picture is a side view of how I'm gently bending the main stem. In the second picture, the red line is the general direction which the sun moves overhead throughout the day, the red circle is the top of the plant and the blue circle is lower down, and is the one I'm hoping the auxins will go to and make it into another main cola. Will this work, or is it too late?

Bending the main stem like you are doing will give you a more even canopy and you will have more branching with smaller colas and no main cola.

Do you think this will increase the overall yield? This is my main goal. If not, is there any kind of LST you could recommend I do for this particular situation?

Hey Murkerrr in my opinion your are way too late to start LST if you keep going you will more than likely snap the main stem. Check out my sig and take a look at how early i start and what i do. It should be a good point for you to learn and get ideas. If you need any more help with Lst give me a shout or check out my other grows.

OK thanks man ill take that string off then, I thought it was a bit too late! Next season (I only do outdoor grows) I will LST from the start and do all sorts of other things, because I have a lot more experience now Thanks!

trick to lst it to make the highest point on the plant lower than the rest so the horomones will goto a different part of the plant and make it the new top
