I have whats left of my Kali Mist (female). About half of it still alive and kicking, I basically wanted to see the difference in effect, if any with different trichome color in this case clear vs cloudy. I am pleased so far with the early harvest.
Anyway, the reason for writing this is my one Mi5 turned out to be a boy, and is in process of dropping its balls. So I figured why not throw some of that pollen on to a few branches from the Mist? I am going about the cross right according to everything I read it should yield with the auto father about 25% autos from the F1 seed correct?
And can anyone see any pitfalls of doing this? If it works I plan on growing this seed out at least one per rotation, till I have more room. And if nothing else will be a fun experiment for me. So what do you think?
Also got an Onyx fem if it survives as well as a S.A.G.E unknown. As far as I know none of these have been crossed yet.

I am flowering some AutoOG F1 right now. None of the F1's auto'd for me.

Wiz has seen some autos in the F1's from the X's he's working on. There are a few people who could chime in on this subject as well.

The only problem i see is, just using any male that comes along. Might not pass potency how you want, into the progeny. Parental selection is the biggest part of doing any cross.

On that note.. Some of the greats have come from accidental pollination. So i would never discourage some one from trying their own pollen chuck.

Long way to go yet, but I am doing this project regarless to see what comes from it. If its anything interesting you guys will be the first to see.

I'll check out the updates :D

Any kind of new auto is interesting!

I'm very interested.... I had a few plants last year called "Kona Mist" believed it to be a cross of Cali Mist and Kona.... desperstely wanted to capture it and auto it... but unfortunately.... the last 2 seeds I had turned out hermie..... so I'll be watching as this may end up closem to what i wanted..

Lampey..make that cross..or I will shoot you...:howdy:
small joke..

I'm assuming you are making one for pleasure...a little girl to call you own..
who doesn't have to be tested out to thousands.

Pet cross.

Just do it..it will teach you SO much...and give you so much Pleasure.

Any help you need will be here.

I have had AF's in f1 on all the photo/autos that I have crossed..
But..
I have to accept that I am a freak.

Speed & Safety for them....

Lol thanks Wiz, and Bailer. And yes its a pet cross for my own amusement. I never set out to make money on any of this, only keep myself in a great head stash, and so far its going well.
I read the post on the ISO extraction and have a bag of sweet leaf in the freezer, after the cross and some trimming I should have enough leaf for that. And I think I am gonna give that a go too. I like the idea of maintaining the flavor of the terpenes.
Anyone have any recos on a decent place to order high purity ISO w/o hazmat fees or ridiculous markup?

I get my ISO from the local hydro shop. So I won't be much help to the people who need to find it covertly.

BTW I found a place called called healdirect.com and ordered two gallons of it it came out to be $89.00 with the $45.00 hazmat fee already added in. So roughly $44.50 a gallon shipped.

Anyway got a question for you, basically i was reading some forum articles from around and wanted to confirm. If I was going to pollinate everything in the closet at the molment. And based on the fact that pollen dies quickly. Can I just turn a fan on a male plant in the room? The pollen remaining would die shortly after and the room would be safe to grow sensi in again by the time the seeds formed correct?

I am pretty sure she took the pollen, I have a few calyxes that have swelled more than usual and appear to have a thin white stripe in the center. I squished one off and it had shell like material in it. She is going much longer than expected so I hope she doesnt die before the seeds finish. Although plants definately seem to be aware of their state and react to it, if you take it close to death a few times they definately seem to become more resilient.
