Hey guys, second grow, first time DWC. Day 26 since sprouting. I've been having some kind of deficiency issue since this girl started. She also seems a little stunted for growth and a bit behind where I thought she'd be. In the pictures I'm linking you can see the leaves become spotted brown and even curl up a bit in the earlier weeks which led us to believe Light Burn possibly, so I backed off the light a good bit. I went ahead and pulled off the couple sets of leaves that had gotten fully covered by the brown. I had posted on here a few weeks ago and we had originally thought possibly light burn, lack of oxygen from a small pump, and lack of nutrients so I got a much much larger pump for more oxygen and bumped up the nutes a good bit. She seemed to be doing better but now there are brown spots on the older set of leaves and I'm a little worried that the issue is still continuing.

My setup: Viparspectra 300W LED, 2X2X4 Grow Tent, Oscillating Fan, Humidifier, Carbon Filter & In-line fan for exhaust, Rockwool Cube in Hydroton, Distilled Water, General Hydroponics Flora Trio Nutes + Calimagic + Hydroguard. My PH is steadily between 5.5 and 6. My temperature between 75-85. Humidity at 50%-60%. Lights 24 Hours on. Feeding 700 PPM roughly currently. Water temp has gone up in the last day or so close to 80 but trying to keep it low 70's at least, the rise is due to running the exhaust fan less to raise humidity so I've began placing frozen water bottles in the reservoir until I figure out a better solution. In the pics I have it from seedling to now as well as a couple root pictures currently.

My main concerns are: Does she seem behind, and most importantly what is causing this brown spotting to overtake my leaves?

ohh boy i know nowt about dwc but 700 seems a bit high for a 1 inch plant.
something is sorely amiss barely a weeks growth in nearly a month, sorry pal not what you wanted to hear.
to small to see any spotting.
good luck.
:pighug:
edit...if ya hadnt guessed im just an eejit, the experts are having a few weeks off though they may pop in the odd time.
if you havnt allready give the stickies a good read at the top of the section.

Haha, you responded to my post a few weeks back or maybe on my first grow, can't remember for sure. But yea I was about to post a reply and tell you to flip the page :D. Okay I'll double make sure I've read everything and wait for more responses. Thanks!

ahh more pics, sorry didnt see em.
looks burnt in pic 2,3,4 it was being fed 700 then ?
5-8 looks ok roots look a good colour.lil rusty spots are normally cal/mag related but dont quote me on that.
as it had a poor start its a bit stunted but not much.
someone with dwc knowledge may come along to give proper help,in the meantime il cross my fingers for you.

Ya, 700 is a hot for that size, I use 700 PPM for full sized vegetative growth. I have done whole grows never getting over 700 till well into flower.

I would recommend top feeding with plain water once a day. That will desalt the rockwool some, and perhaps give the roots the space they need to grow out to the water.

All the other parameters seem normal, I like to plant the cube higher in the tray, even with the top of the netpot. Once the roots bust out of a full net pot, they are ready for nutes. If you plant it low in there close to the water line, the baby roots will hit that hot water and get burned up. This may be what happened to yours. BUT:

What pH meter are you using?

That damage is also consistent with high pH. High pH mimics phosphorous deficiency, those spots, and especially the fried under leaves indicate pH lockout.

I'm completely new to feeding with nutes and DWC both so I've really been looking for information for GH Flora Trio feed schedule for an Auto in DWC. I'm using Amazon product ASIN B06XCMNFVQ for PH & TDS. I've calibrated it once so far although it's probably due to be calibrated again.
