I think a drying tent sounds like a good choice for me but I’m hung up on a height for 1-2 plants. What is a real height I should be shooting for if I choose to hang the whole plant to dry and room for any needed gear in there? I get that bigger is normally “better” but in this case I figured sized just right would be easier to maintain proper environmentals. I comprehend sativa vs small auto can differ greatly, but those with several harvests under your belt what size height would you make be the minimum. Also a factor is I will be trying to use it’s own intake but exhaust into a 2x4 or 3x3 if possible with Inkbird rh and temp if needed, to keep it all in 1 charcoal exhaust filter.
I’ve eyed the Vivosun 30x18x36 and found some different brand 24x24x36, cloning marketed tents but they seem ok till I think about any other gear in the tent.

I see some 36x20x63 tents and wonder if this wouldn’t be a better height for hanging or if I’m over complicating this.

Any thoughts?

Do you train your plants or will this be holding 5 foot tall plants?
How much floorspace do you have available?
I think a 48x24x60 would be good for drying. You will not need to worry about the height of the plant pots.
Now if you do not train your plants a photoperiod could hit six feet tall but autos might hit 5 feet at the most.

Yes, primarily I plan on training. Only grown 2 thus far though but trained both.

I’m getting really close on being maxed out on floor space. A 2x4, 2x2 or 30x18” would all work within my available real estate.

My main concern I think was buying a tent for drying and it being too small mainly vertically. I guess that is always a concern though.

You can always cut off a foot or two from the bottom and hang it separately.

I'm sure I'll end up hanging from branches like I mostly see, just wanted to have the option to try whole plant without height issues. Whichever I pick, I'm sure my needs will change before all is said and done!

My harvest of 6 plants from a 4 x 6 space. This may give you an idea of what you might need in a tent size?

That is a good amount of space. I'll have to change some things around if I have anywhere close to that much of a harvest.
