Hi guys, this is my first actual thread on AFN, iv grown a few autos over the past 12months with a few failed attempts. But as they say learn an observe from your mistakes, it pays off in the end. (Also grown plenty of regular outdoor plants)
I live on the east coast of Australia with temperatures around 23-26 degree celsius, perfect I know :) anyways ill give you a run down of my setup

- 1.4x1.4x2mtr grow tent
- 400watt LED broad spectrum light
- 55litre resivor
- 150 lph air pump
- expanded clay balls
- rockwool cube
- x2 air stones
- x2 mesh pots

I haven't added any nutrients to the resivor as of yet, the plant is 21 days old an starting to get a bit of a smell to it, the roots are really starting to take off from the mesh pot, iv got the lighting schedule on 20/4, iv noticed the temperature in my grow tent constantly stays between 24-26, iv recently added some ducting the the top of my light just to pump a little bit of fresh Co2 into the tent (not because I'm having temperature issues) my led light puts out virtually no heat, this particular setup is new to me, So ill hope for the best like the rest :)

stay tuned for a full grow journal with pictures uploaded every couple of days

Peace out fellow growers stay high!

1st update- northern lights (pyramid seeds)

Hi growers, my first update :)

My plants are now 23 days old from first planting the seeds, so by rights they would be ruffly 18-20 days old from germination, the roots are looking healthy with no signs of browning or root rot, the plant overall is looking very healthy, I'm about to add my veg nutrients at 1/4 strength, lets see if she takes off like a rocket.
The distributor of this particular seed said it would be ready for harvest in 60days, sorry but I can't see that happening, I'm still a bit skeptical on what some of the seed banks put down in the seed description, I'd give or take with some plants 1-5 weeks, my last grow said 70 days turned out to be 130...a bugger I know, but with an outstanding 3.5oz I wasn't complaining :)

The whole idea of the foil around the base of the plant is to stop any light from seeping through the clay pebbles into the resivor an causing root rot, it's working better then ever !!!
Many people may ask what's the go with the bottle?? Well basically I use it as a humidity crib to germinate my seeds directly from the dwc system, I do not soak my seeds an sprout them in rockwool like many other growers,, I found the more the plant gets touched or moved an transplanted, it does an I mean does affect the overall dry weight of your buds, iv proven it myself with trial an error process, , for some reason I find it works better to not touch or disturb your plants at all, it deffinatly has worked for me the last few grows, but ppl might have different teqniques an handling processes that work (feel free to share any help is appreciated)
Iv added a photo for the growers who are curious about my ducting an tent, hope yous enjoy :)

anyway ill keep everyone updated
Hope everyone enjoys the thread :)

Peace out growers

2nd update- northern lights (pyramid seeds)

Hi growers, my plants are now 27 days old an are absolutely thriving, I did a res change yesterday an the ph is at 5.8, I'm happy with how these guys are comeing along, the smell is starting to get pretty potent even though the plant has no bud sites, I can't wait to see how it turns out, I'd expect the plant to be a little bit bigger but I'm not sure what's going on, everything with the plant seems near perfect at this stage, but it has exploded on width, so I guess it's not going to bad , ill keep everyone posted

Get high stay high growers peace out

Healthy looking plant but it is small for 5 weeks ... no idea why, could just be phenotype ...
If it's a photo plant you have time for it to grow ...

Thanks for the reply Chester, i not long ago added the nutrients due to the high demand in my area of the particular Nutes that I use, so I had to wait a few extra weeks for it to arrive, so basically by the time my Nutes arrived it was time to add the flowering Nutes, an now she is really starting to take off, nice big green lush leaves, it's starting to smell crazy with no signs of flowers yet, but it's now 210mm tall an growing an inch a day !! Can't see the 60 days happening
