Grow Room Evaporative air cooler- waste of money???

Anyone use these evaporative air coolers before, I was thinking of putting one in my loft near the tent vent area but not directly blowing into the vent. Obviously using this will up the rh ,and eventually completely saturate the air, will this just turn my tent into a soggy wet mess. Any feedback before I spend my hard earned cash would be greatfully received.

Do you live in a desert climate? I previously lived in the Southwest desert region in the US and they worked well to cool down houses when the climate was extremely dry but once the humidity level outdoors reached a certain point the evaporative cooling effect dropped to zero and did nothing but make the inside of a house miserably damp if running.

If you don't live in an arid climate you will just be adding moisture to your house or grow tent and likely cause a tropical climate in your tent or house.

i have a portable air con it would be a bit heavy for getting up to the loft i picked mine up a couple of years ago out of season also growing in the UK in summer can be hard bro

My other option would be to put a 5 inch hole through my loft wall and hook up some ducting direct to my tent vent, and draw the air in direct from outside, . What you think?

in the summer I don't think that will matter if its 90f outside but I could be wrong
