Sweet Seeds Evol goes Sweet

I'm germinating 3 fem Ice Cool (photoperiod) from Sweet seeds on Oct 1st. They will be grown in 5 gal superoots airpots with Pro-mix soil.

Space: 6' x 1.5' mylar lined closet 7' high 6' limit with lightrail.. 8" duct/fan (yeah its big)

Lights: Solar Storm 400 on light rail, also getting 3 50w plasma bulbs. (maybe getting another BlackStar 240uv and putting 2 of those in also)

Nutrients: Humbolt Counties Own Emerald Triangle - Micro, Grow, Bloom,Magnum, Crystal Burst, and Snow Storm Ultra.
Dyna Gro - Pro Tekt - I also have cal mag incase I need a backup for the Magnum.
Superthrive
Earth Juice - Hi-Brix Molasses
Hygrozyme
Microbe Life - Foliar Spray & Root Dip, Photosynthesis Plus, Nourish-L, and Vegetable & Fruit Yield Enhancer.
I'm also thinking about getting the Stump Tea kit...

As you can tell I'm going all out for this one. If anyone can think of anything else that would be beneficial please let me know.

Now the first question I have for a Sweet Seeds rep is, what is the recommended method of germinating? Soak for 24 hrs then paper towl or soil? Or don't soak?
Also what size pots do you suggest I start in? Would 32oz party cup be ok?

Evol they are femmed seeds right? I'd start right off in the final pot also I've been using Goautos method of germing and have had 100% success... Pre water pot, overnight on head mat, seed direct to
Soil, mist, cover with Saran Wrap (poke a hole for breathability) cover pot with Saran Wrap on it with a plastic grocery store bag followed by a brown paper bag... Leave on heating mat check in three days and should be popped if not mist a little and recover,check next day...
Haven't lost one bean yet that way that hasn't been MY fault

Yes they are fem seeds. I was gonna just go with my normal germ method of soak then soil but idk. Maybe I'll give that a try.

Germination - day 1

I have decided to soak the seeds for 18 - 24 hours then they will go directly into soil. I still haven't decided if I will start in a smaller pot or not. I have no airpot experience so ANY input is appreciated.

Hi evol, thanks for sharing your diary here in the Sweet Seeds subforum.
I usually wait until the root appears, so recommend you to do so.
I've never use airpot but Im looking forward to test one of this stranges pots soon.

Thanks Jay! I will wait until I see the taproot then put in soil. I have never used aitpots either so I'm excited to try them.

I love the results with the air pots! Only thing is you almost have to water everyday, they dry fast.
