Yeah just the silver emergency blanket type material, just like for.a dryer duct. Full use filters last about 18 months. Mine is slightly loud to be honest but works for me. Then again this is the only fan I have experience with.

I'll look into it a bit more. Noise may be a concern and annoyance for me being in the closet. Thanks so much for all of your input. One more thing, do you run a filter on your intake hole of the tent? Then one on the exhaust? Also, do you use clamps or aluminum tape?

These should help with noise control. You can shut the fan up quite a bit by turning the speed down.

Yes I have a speed controller that does help some but its getting warmer and stays on full speed, but I don't have LEDs yet so I've got.more heat to deal with.

Some use simple filters on intake, panty hose or screen. My tent has screened intake flaps. No need for a carbon filter coming in, just on the air out.

I use the metal screw dryer clamps and the gorilla tape too.
