I finally located a purple 2G11 plant growth light. these are easy to to find in T5HOs like the flora sun and ultra growth wave but not so readily available in 2G11s. they use a deep red phosphorous that peaks at 650nm. and will allow me to shift to a "red sun" for flowering. http://www.catalinaaquarium.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=71_45_122_129&products_id=1005 I know some growers have experimented with aquarium lights and now the 2G11 users can join them.
