Is it a good idea to do my first grow in a PC box?

Btw, I will be growing Green-O-Matic.

Please help!

Micro grows tend to be a little harder then just a reg grow IMO becuase of the size of the space but my first grow was in a pc case aswell but i already like my gl40 way better.

I did my first grow in a old speaker box. The old big ones. A PC case just looked out of place here. Lol. But old speakers from the 70s and 80s look as if they belong here. A buddy of mine is growing in a old hollowed out arcade game. Blaze is dead on. Micro growing can be tricky....air flow and temperature control being often the biggest issue. There are some PC masters in here over at the micro growers area that can get you pointed in the right direction in no time.

Haha! I remember seeing those old school speaker boxes.

Thanks for the advice! I have limited space so I figured a PC box would be best, since I'm growing GOM (which is suppose to to be a shorter strain).

Ok dudes, so I decided to make a box that was 2 or 3 times as big (3'x2'x1'). The inside is matt white with three 20w CFL's. I have one small fan inside, but plan on getting another for exhaust before I start my grow. Will two fans be enough (unknown CFM)? I let everything run last night for a couple of hours and it rose to 80 degrees with humidity at 45%.

I'm not sure what soil or nutes I will use yet. Any advice for something I can scoop at Home Depot?

Also, will the lighting be ok? (1x 20w 6500k and 2x 20w 2700k)

If you havent bought those cfl'too long ago, try to change them at the depot and get some bigger ones! 1x6.5k 2x2,7k seems ok, better 4 if possible with temps.

ps: or if you can get a 90W UFO, get it. herbal did a grow inside a pc case and I'm doing 60-90W led in a case too.
