this is them togetherboth top.jpgboth side.jpg

I topped both of them......
on plant two if you notice there has been something eating one of the leaves sorta top right. i cant figure out what it is. almost looks like caterpillar marks but all i can find is gnats every now and then. can they do that kinda damage. also i found about three or so almost cut like damages on top of the leaves. they are straight and dont go all the way through. just through top layer of leaf. if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it.

wrong section try indoor

sorry guys. if i would of known id get moved i wouldnt have asked whats up with my leaf. just a begginer trying to get as much info as possible. wont happen again.

Hey buddy, it's all good. Nobody's jumping on you... just trying to get you to the best spot to get the help you want.

Re: your leaf... all I see is a little place where something munched on it a very little bit. I'd keep a very close eye on it but if the hungry little bugger has moved on, you're probably fine. If you do see a bug, there's plenty of us around to help you kill it. :ama:

Have a pleasant evening. :peace:

for sure. thanks alot guys. ill try and get some neem oil but its really hard because all of the hydro stores around me closed. i dont even have a ph buffer yet. been waiting a week for it to come. the website just put it in the mail this morning. the taller plant im calling plant one started flowering today. i took those pics yesterday and didnt see any flowering(doesnt necessarily meen it wasnt there though). i do keep finding gnats in the grow room. killed 4 today. i dont think they have nested though because usually they would lay hundreds of eggs. i think they just keep finding their way in. my room mates are horrible about leaving doors open and not shutting screens. their killin me.

Anyone have any ideas on a bug zapping light. i want to put one in there to at least run while the grow light is off to zap the little buggers. do you think that would just attract more and make it worse.

gnats are easy... cup of alcohol to quart of water in a spray bottle... spray every few hours... theyll knock out in a few days... always keep a weary eye... also... overwatering breeds gnats... not saying you are but something to be aware of.

also combo'ed with the DE should stop most insects... def keep neem oil around though... its great for spider mites and thrips..... ughhhh may karma bless you with never having either of those... cheers mate!

ok here are some updates. they are just starting to flower. some of the new leaves are coming in light green still from the stem out. i have been watered with epsom salts which has seemed to help a bit. about every other water unless i forget. i have some fox farm nutrients on the way. purchased the trio. any recomendations on how to use them and whether or not you think they will help my situation. so far i have only added potting soil and a tiny tiny bit of tomato food slow release 12-10-5 to the topsoil. plants are about 40 days old now. 8inch pots.

they are looking pretty good mate... for the foc farm trio you can use FD's guide:

what i mean is that not all autos are the same lol
I have been growing the same genetic line for over a year now
and they all seem like they really like my fert schedule.
This is what i doi break it down as follows
First off let me talk about what i use as ferts. I have a 4 part system that i use and most of this is in the brain so please bare with me as i share this one.
I use FF grow big (hydro formula) Tiger Bloom and then two tea variations. One is high in N for veg and the other is high in Phosphorus when its time to flower.
I apply these through out the grow. I use the FF to get it started.
then i move to the teas and then back to the FF and then back to the teas
So i break it down like this:
FF GB is 3Tbsp/1Gal for heavy feedings. So in my mind this is more than enough for our fave friends. So it states that 2tbsp/1gal is for normal feedings so i use this as my base number. After that i break it down into 1/4
at 7 days i start like this
Day 7 1/4 dose to a gal
Day 14 1/2 dose to a gal + 8oz of N rated tea
Day 21 1tbsp GB and then 1/4 of TB (bringing in the TB)
Day 28 1/2 TB + 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea
Day 35 1.5 tbsp TB to a gal
Day 41 2tbsp of TB and 8oz of Phosphorus rated tea
Then Flush till finish unless it needs something at the end.
I think that this is everything that i do like i said i am not sure as this is all in my head. If the plants demand more that i give more this is just something to go by. I usually do not swap in clean water feedings at all over the fert program. I just use the jug then its gone. Now if i start to see over feeding or lockouts ill flush.
But if i keep my water on point i never usually see a lock out or toxicity.
Hope this helps

cheers mate!

I went to homedepot and got some organic neutralizing lime pellets that are packedfull of cal and mag. I know people say to stay away from the pellets but it was all they had so hopefully it fixes my problem.

thanks for the info too jm. i like your feeding schedule. i dont know a thing about teas but ill try it out on my next grow swapping the teas with ff big bloom(supposed to help with nutrient uptake and root recovery). seeing as i am this far along however i think i might just start out with maybe a quarter dose of tiger bloom and big bloom the first week(after i get them hopefully 2/3 days). half doses the second week and may or may not feed a third week. and then start flushing till they are done(unless somebody else has a better recommendation). its going to be tricky however because i dont use a full gallon each water. i have an old gallon with a line drawn on it that waters both my plants perfeclty with a little runoff that i add an air pump to for 24 hours before waterings. ill figure it out though, im really good with numbers. and finally i hear that flushing refers to using double the water a pot can hold during waterings. for example if using an 8inch half gallon pot water with a gallon to flush. is this true because that seems like alot of water?

By the way my girls are smelling sooo sweet its rediculous. even though they are showing flowers they are still growing like crazy should have a great first yeild. Will be updating soon. Till next time happy growing :peace:
