Hi everyone,

So a couple of days ago I planted a TD seed outside. The seed popped today so couldn't wait to start a journal!

I've only grown outdoors once before but a cow ate it before it got to the 21 day mark! Now I'm cow free and have a garden, this one should go a lot better. :toke:

With it being outdoors I don't want it getting too tall so if anyone has any LST tips they'd be greatly appreciated. I'm just not sure when to do it if anything.

In other news:
Got a week off soon so will be sorting out the spare room for the tent. Then I can bring some nice new ladies into the world.

I got some freebies so can't decide between Think different, Afghani, pineapple punch, critical sensi star, quick fruit and a nice photosensitive blue blood by medicann that i bought for my crohn's disease.

If any of you have tried these some input would be great.

Photo's coming soon!

Best of luck Greggers
Think the best time to lst is when youve got it in the final pot. Even better is when its put in its final place outdoors then you can guage the arc of the sun in relation to the plant.
My technique is to put a little hole in the rim of the pot then loop some twine through and bend the plant down away from the sun giving the lower branches more light.
Due to the short life cycle theres not much you can do with lst - hope someone drops by with more tips

Wishing you the best of luck.

I Usually do like Maffor but do it once they get the 2nd set of leaves. I also when repotting them tilt them slightly to assist in the lst.

Good luck! TD has a solid reputation and a lot of people here already grew it. Maybe you should check out their reports for useful information :)

Hey greggers good luck with your grow .
I have a TD outside no problems aside from being super hungry straight from the get go.
That may also have been due to the soil being reused after being sat outside over winter so I figure soil must be drained of NUTES .
Enuff about my project TD seems to be hardy and strong I've only got three internodes and have lateral branch growth starting to grow out.
I detect a faint smell already planted plenty of scented flowers .
Welcome to the autoflower network plenty of help for auto growers here helpful people and plenty of info .
READ and read .
Good luck G.

Thanks for all the tips and good wishes guys. Foopa I saw your recent think different grow and if I get anything like that I'll be pretty happy!

When I got up this morning I saw that the seed has popped. Think I'll call tomorrow day one!

Thanks but due to some bud rot chopped bit early on two of them would not grow 4 in that space again.
I think my latest TD is going to crush all 4 of them .
Check her out maybe you can look forward to this .

Hey Greggers, sounds like a good seed selection.I also wondered what techniques you could use to increase yield with autos and i "supercropped" one of my 2 plants which i had done successfully with photo varieties indoors, you can find information on youtube or google about"supercropping" its quite straightforward if your confused drop me a mail and ill explain more, but i noticed a dramatic increase in budding colas as it alters the hormones and makes every budding point a terminal (main) bud, also do this about a week before you getthe first sign of buds, also very short varieties might not respond as well to this, but im sure tutankhamon will be ok as its a bit bigger, its awesome you should try it on one plant or so and compare the results if your wary, but i would strongly advise you dont prune in the traditional way or clone your autos as this will have a detrimental effect,i really hope all goes well this time round for you, just take into account every security measure, good luck and happy growing dude,
bless

Sorry i should also mention that ideally you want to start in the pot you intend to finish in, say 8 litres,or if you do have to re pot then try not to make it to much bigger as there might not be enough time for the roots to occupy it (in the short flowering period) and use all nutrients within it and when it comes to flushing you might find it isnt done thouroughly enough resulting in a chemically taste, organic is always best dread,:five:

I think you're right, it's definitely off to a good start.

Thanks for all the advice man, thankfully it's already in it's final pot so that shouldn't slow me down too much. This ones going to be my guinea pig with regards to LST and any methods to increase yield. I can't wait!

:group:Thanks for the help everyone!
