not so well up on mars 300 myself, but know they are cheapish and popular.but if its free grab it,you may want to upgrade next grow, but will do rightly for first time out.
:pighug:

I think I will try to go with the 60x60x140 tent. Will the Mars 300 be adequate in that scenario? I don't want to miss out on a good free light. Then again I don't want to screw up a first grow.

Your good to go  cut your teeth with this gear then once you get an obsession for growing you can invest some more ££££

:pass:

Deep breaths from now on its a weed , a plant that wants to survive even when your perhaps killing it, at this point keep it super simple
:pop: :woohoo:

I got the nod to grow! Now to make sure I keep that smell to as low as possible and make sure I take on board all the good advice on here :yay:

The fruity variations seem to smell the least imo.

A couple of questions if you guys don't mind? I am going to go with the 60cm x 60cm x 140cm tent and the borrowed Mars 300w LED.

  • Would I need to have an active intake exhaust or will passive be enough if I'm sticking to just 1 plant in my first grow? Seen a few vids where guys have an active fan on the intake. I presume there is some math to balancing out my carbon exhaust vs intake - passive or active? Maybe I'm over thinking it.......
  • What size/type of pot would be best to use in a 1 plant grow in that size tent?
Cheers.

small tent cupboard dwellers dont need to worry about intake fans.an open vent a cracked door is plenty,as the extraction fan will suck fresh air in.
