New Grower first time grower need help finalising my set up(pc grow box) and extra help from this awesome commu

hey all,

i recently decided to try my hand at growing a autoflower(Blue Treacle-from gorilla seed bank)

-in the process of ordering everything i need-

-pc box itself is about a foot high has two cfl low wattage light bulbs and 2x built in PC fans, able to run at 3-12watts.

-the soil i will be using is CANNA Bio Terra Plus Soil Mix

-for nutrients ive looked at canna biovega and canna bioflores

apart from these items i have no real idea of what else i should include e.g pot size etc and also the appropriate light schedule which will work best, how much water i must give the plant when it requires it etc.

really just any information that i didnt already include that will help me on my way to growing my own bud :Cool:

thanks very much man i kinda have over the past couple of days and have the general jist i guess but i just need a few tips and like some of you guys opinions on my setup and what i should add or maybe change
only thing i bought so far is the pc box which was about 21 pounds

yeah i was thinking i might need one but aparently the soil keeps the ph stabalized because of the organisms in it etc haha, thankyou man i need all the luck i can get!

Couple of things I could think of.

Smell, have you any carbon scrubbing going on - is smell even a concern? If it is, I would highly recomend comercial fan/cf with a speed controller, I could never get DIY ones to work. You may need to get innovative as to where you put it. On mine I had it in another cabinet right next to the grow cabinet and ran some duct between them.

As for pot size, I grew in a two foot high cabinet during my first 2 grows, and I managed to get away with a gallon felt pot (cut a 3 gal one down so the pot was wide but shallow) - heavily lst'd the plant - ended up with about 15 same size cola's with her about a foot high and got about an oz and a half dry bud. Just make sure you can adjust the CFL's as you may need to move them around to accomodate the plant.

People say dont buy a cheap one, but a cheap one is better than none (if callibrated often) . I bought this make/model (not from this seller) Digital PH Meter Tester Pocket - Aquarium Pool Water Wine Urine LCD Pen Monitor | eBay and some calibration fluid from the local hydro shop. It personally has saved my grows since purchasing.

Also, a soil PH probe has been useful - just scrub it with a kitchen scowerer befor using. I used it when mixing my own soil, and during the grow when I developed a PH problem; they arent 100% accurate but it adds to the picture if you get problems. Thanks man ,Yeah well smell will be a concern but I was thinking I could just get a carbon filter to put over the exaust fan,that sounds like a good amount what im hoping for really!!, ill try man I gotta get everything first do you think the nutrients Ive lidted at the moment will be enough or are there any overs I should include im in the uk and kinda on a small budget!

ph pen, cal/mag, nutes, are you using tap water??? if ya are, let it sit out 24 hours with an air stone bubbling it, that supercharges your roots!!! and get some mycos, and some roots excellerator, and some....the list can go on and on!!! But I would get minimum those things. Do a bunch of research in the new growers thread "lifecycle of an autoflower" is a great read, also the micro thread is a good one too. But nothing beats google and the AFN search bar!!!

Well im probably just gunna put the water through a water filter like one of the ones you use to make chemical free drinking water!!, do you know any good feeding and watering guide to when I should neut the plant etc!!!
