Hi all, first time post here and looknig forward to digging through a wealth of knowledge you have here!
I have always wanted to try growing and was always wanting to try some autoflowering plants for the first time just to make my life a little bit easier (why lie, I am impatient) but I've never been in a situation where I have been able to grow. I remember a few years back I saw a stealth PC growcase which I thought would be perfect for my needs...
Fast forward a few years later and after a watercoolnig issue, my last PC is no more. Gutted but life goes on and I now have a new PC. But I am left with a huge - in PC Case terms - case that i thought rather than throw away maybe I could make my own stealth-ish grow box.
The case is 609 x 609 x 229mm (24"x24"x9") so it will be a very small grow - I doubt more than 2 plants would fit inside. No matter. I'm not doing this expecting to yeild ounces on ounces, truth be told if I even only got a Quarter of an ounce I'd count that as a success and be very proud. It's more for a fun project and a learning experience.
I've been reading that LED lights are now at a point they can be viable for growth which makes me think the reduced heat may well work in a PC case.
Has anyone on here had any success whilst growing in a similar sized - or smaller - case/box before? If so, I'd really really appreciate if someone could help me with picking bits that would get me started.
Budget isn't really a factor as if it costs too much, i'd buy it over a couple of months but I'd rather it be cheaper than more expensive. But not so cheap my house sets on fire!
Also, sorry last question, how likely is it to stink out a house even if i do go to greath lengths to hide the smell? It's not a huge deal as my room always stinks of weed anyway but I don't want to offend my housemates if it is really pungent!
