Hey Guys,
It's getting very close to time for harvest for a couple of my Grapey walters. Last week I lollipopped all nine of them and I just now fired up a bowl of almost mature bud. These are the smaller buds I removed when lollipopping, so they aren't the true expression of the genetics I am sure.
Having said that, I did give them a proper drying, but no cure yet, and the smoke was slightly lung expanding, pretty smooth actually, and the main taste I got on exhale was honeysuckle and a version of grape I haven't quiet identifified yet..... but it sure as hell is grape! The high hits in just a few seconds, and it is really nice, light headed, up.
Out of the nine GW's that survived out of 10 planted, I can now say for sure that I have four different phenotypes based just on appearance, there may be even more when taste/effect of mature buds is considered. One is almost straight sativa, long, thin but tight flowers. Another of vastly majority sativa has donkey dick buds and is oily as owl shit. Kinda smells like Skylar White, and is a greyish green. Two of the girls look like an even 50/50 split of sativa/indica, pine cone shaped buds that are the size of navel oranges. No shit. And just loaded down. Another two look like maybe a smaller version of the last described one as far as the buds go. but tighter bud structure. One is just a beast. She is probably 90/10 sativa dominant, and has beautiful tiny little yellow sugar leaves all over the dark green buds that make it look like Forsythia in bloom in the spring. Only one other has the yellow sugar leaves.
Sorry if I bored you people by grinding on, but I was never really able to find any information that satisfied my curiosity about the GW, so maybe I helped someone.
Merry Christmas, and smooth vibrations to everyone!
