Extraction Flavour and Taste transfer from Weed to Hash?

Does Hash from a specific Strain keep some of the flavor and taste of this strain?

If made properly, absolutely. Bubble hash from fresh product or BHO made without whipping and not overly heat purged fare best at this IME...

ice extraction will keep less than dry sift hash as the compounds are water soluble so i have heard

it all comes down to the quality of the material you use , if useing popcorn buds and sugar leaf at the worst then yes any method used will transfer smell and taste distiguishable to the strain used

if useing crappy shake full of fan leaves it becomes less distinguishable and generic tasting/smelling

Made some hash from bubbleious and Pineapple Express and it tasted and smelled just like it. I used the dry ice method. I made some from Big Bang and it wasn't as flavorful.
