Just keep do what you're doing. The other environmental factors are more important.
Over time, you'll find that autos don't give a shit. They take any light they get on any schedule as long as it's fair light.
Less means lower yeilds and more means higher...potency isn't enhanced by size, only by other environment factors...it's kinda what you wish to spend on what it takes to get there.
I personally veg every plant, auto and photo, under 24/0, then kick to a flower area on 12/12 and I grow all I want. Good/potent weed is my goal and that's how I've done it for years. Sure, I've run other schedules but feel I've found a happy medium to obtain quality meds.
