Indoor flushing my plants.

i have a few questions on flushing during growing season.i am growing inside a growtent in soil.the lr#2s are 5 weeks old .i give nutes since 10 days every 3 or 4 days .never have added alot of water at a time so have never had liquid to come out bottom of pots.would i need to flush now or wait till last week.in 5 weeks i have used 5-1-1 for 1st feeding day 10.day 15 1/4 open sesame and mollases--day 20 open sesame and mollases---day 24 1/4 spoon of beastie bud and mollases ,day 28--beastie bud and mollases---they have never had fresh water ---before ferts are added i bubble 24 hours

If you haven't been getting any run off from your pots then I would suggest you give them a flush. When nutes are broken down the bi product is salts. Without any run off, the salts can build up in the soil and eventually cause nutrient lockout. In the future I would suggest you give them more so that you get a small amount of run off with every feeding.

muddy--concerning flushing---i filled a 55 gallon fish tank today with tap added a few bubblers and let it stand all day outside in sunshine.it cant harm plants right.if i have a 2 gallon pot do i use 2 gallons of water?do i allow to dry before ferts again?will this wash away all the ferts?a couple of my plants have leaves trying to roll up alittle around the edges,so will this help? sorry to ask so many questions

You really don't need to put it outside. Letting it stand and bubble for 24 hours will dissipate any chlorine in the water. The general rule of thumb is to flush with 3x the pot size. So a 2 gallon pot should be flushed with 6 gallons of water. Flushing will leach out nutes and salts from the soil, which is why it's usually done. So yes, it should help with the leaf if it was caused by over fertilization. The soil will need to dry out before they are watered/fed again. If they were over fed, then I'd suggest you drop back to a lower dose when you feed them again.

thanks --really appreciate all the advice here.on the ferts--the ammount was right i think.i believe it was too often 3 days apart fert every time i watered

Some people like to go full strength every other watering. I prefer using a lower dose every time. Really just personal choice.

I'm of that school myself. I always go .25 the recommended in every feed. I also don't feed every day, usually every 2.5 days, when the pots are really dry. Then I run about twice the volume of the pot through them to get the soil evenly wet. It's been working out very well for me.

I think it eliminates growth spikes, allowing for more even growth and especially in veg, more even node spacing. I grow soil less so am usually able to feed 1/2 strength with every feeding, usually every 3-4 days.
