Getting back to it.. spider mites

Cannabis Seeds
:smoking:TB- Full tent and all equipment/tools/pots cleaning is step one,... time shut down is a big help too, so that's covered,... Spider mites are not soil dwellers, so are an unlikely source of origin in bags,... But as mentioned, they can end up on clothing, shoes, pots, etc. and hitch a ride into your tent, so be mindful of where you've been recently before you work in the grow areas,... Sealing your windows is unnecessary, they are not airborne or lengthy land travelers,...
Once growing, regular patrols are wise- :amazon:- turn leaves over occasionally for close inspection,...use a hand magnifier if you can, 2-4x is fine for sweeps....low level/impact infestations can linger for weeks, even months until the right conditions give them that sudden population explosion. Hot, dry conditions strongly influence this, so keep your tent env. in proper T and RH%... And know the early signs of infestation, don't write it off as something else,... you've seen it firsthand now, so you know- :eek1:
.... Pure neem oil has other nice benefits to the plants, so during veg', an occasional foliar spray of that is dual goodness! Use a wetting agent to help emulsify the neem better, and make it coat and stick better as well,.. (true with any foliar applications).... I like Coco-Wet for this,... otherwise, occasional applications of other products is fine too,.. I like spinosad products; this is not a brand, but an active ingredient... typically readily available, just google it and see what comes up locally.... like pyrethrum (made from chrysanthemums), spinosad is a neurotoxin but derived from a bacterium... all food safe! They don't kill right away, but the vermins sicken and go off feed, croaking out in about a day later....
...If you like to kick it up another notch, use can use a safe systemic, like SNS209... it's derived from rosemary oil/extracts, and makes the plant taste like crap to them! I've used it 2 years in a row now for my outdoor photo' girls, and it works nicely- Just stop treating 2-3 weeks prior to harvest so the plant can metabolize it away,...
