Heyas, I got some seedlings that are 3 days above ground and 2 of them are a golden brownish color. Theyre in a topfed rdwc inside 6in netpots. Light is a 450 watt reflector led from topled. Think the actual draw is around 300. Its about 30in from plants. Water ph is 7ish. Dropped it just a tad but waiting on digital ph meter to come in the mail before I do to much with that. Could it be my ph or lights to close causeing them to be this color? 20140526_073751.jpg

If your pH is actually that high it's likely the problem. It should be 5.8 for plants in hydro. Have you given them any nutrients? If so, what is PPM/EC reading?

It was around 7ish when tested with walmart teat strips. Waiting on digital ph meter a tds meter to come in mail. Iput 1 oz of vinegar inand dropped it some. Have about 40 gallons of water. And no nutes yet, I was waiting for third set of leaves to appear.

Those test strips are good enough to get the pH into a better range. Shoot for 6 or a bit lower. Plain water isn't enough to feed them in a hydro system. You need to get some mild nutrients in there. About 1/8 of the recommended strength should do it. Mix it in your res and then pour a bit around the plant itself. At this young age there may not be many, if any roots, in your res yet.

Ok ill drop it some more. On the nutes, it will be friday before I get those :/ had to get those mailed to me also. I was under the impression I needed to wait till the little leaves fell off before they got nutes, around week 2ish, but ill start friday. Big rl burnside and jr kimbrough fan here muddy, just noticed ur pic.
