Current Culture recommends weekly and my ORP tests have born that out. Three ml per gallon is a good maintenance dose and up to 5 ml per gallon can be used to address a root issue.

I have no strong opinions, and just want to do what has the best combination of effectiveness and simplicity.
But the simplicity of clorox is very attractive.
The clorox likely spikes the Cl, which then dissipates, but there will still be an average amount that can be calculated.
Do you have info on how the average UCR Cl ppm compares to average clorox Cl ppm?
Another thing I wonder about is whether it even matters that the clorox ppm varies dramatically as it dissipates, if it's replenished every day.
It might be that temporary jolts of it are enough to keep root rot at bay.
