Just wanted to make my first serious post on this site in hopes of gaining some credibility. I am not necessarily new to growing. This being my first Autoflower and most serious grow however. My history is as follows: I had several bagseeds that I kept for years. Attempted my first grow which ended up being a male... tossed him out. Tried again 12/12 from seed...and got a female. She was grown under a staircase behind a water heater that i wrapped in black plastic and used white poster board for siding and a recycled windshield reflector. She grew under a couple strong CFL bulbs I ordered from amazon. No filtration, a fan and a heater because it ran in the 60's. Smelled entirely like cat piss...never figured out what strain it was...She stretched beyond belief and was about 5.5 feet tall when I finally chopped her because there was no more room... with mostly popcorn buds. Filled one large mason jar... It still was some of the best weed I ever smoked because I grew it myself.
6-7 years later I have decided to try it again. I'm older and work a pretty stressful job and need some sort of medication. I have no real connections here so I figure it's best to grow your own in that scenario. Ive done a ton of research and this is where I stand
I ordered 5 seeds from Nirvana, Northern Light AutoFem.
I will be growing 1 at a time under a single 75w Cree Cob light ordered from Amazon by Rapid LED.
I will use BioBizz Light mix as my medium and following Tangs Easy Auto feeding schedule.
3 gallon grow bag.
I have built a 3'x2'x5.5' grow tent/box using panda film and 1/2" PVC.
Will be using a 4" carbon filter for odor control (hopefully enough).
The grow will take place in a fairly humid but cool basement. Usually runs RH 60%+ but have 2 dehumidifiers to bring it down if need be.
Temps are in the 65-70 range always.
Not tested what the grow area is with lights on etc...not 100% stocked.
Very interested in electronics and have an arduino and raspberry pi on standby for automation...etc
Planning on being out of town end of May for 7 days...so this has put me in a bit of a bind as to when to start the grow. Don't want to be mid flower and be gone for 7 days...
Anyway. Just wanted to make a post. Probably will do a grow journal as well if enough interest.
