Hello AFN,
This is a thread to discuss LED technology and its development. Now we are producing all our lights in-house we can really keep the Holographic series and any current or future products in the new series at the leading edge of LED technology. So we wanted to open this thread to discuss new LED technologies, ideas involved in the Holographic series and general LED lighting design to contribute what we can to the conversation.
The areas we will cover is as follows,
Technical questions on the technology and ideas involved in the HS1
Technical questions on building the best lighting system
Technical questions on general interesting developments in the LED lighting sector
This is also where we will be first releasing any new developments on our products (e.g new versions, components, accessories....)

Their tech talk baffles me..so I just look at the grow threads..a photo is worth a Thousand Words...:tiphat:

Hopefully I'm not asking this question in the wrong thread and my apologies if I did , but would anyone be able to tell me if there are any authorized dealers/retailers for Grow Northern lights In Canada ? Preferably Ontario if there is any ? Any info is greatly appreciated ! Tyvm in advance ! One love !
I'm sorry we don't have any retailers in Canada currently. The Holographic series 1 only works on 220-240v AC and the residential mains supply in Canada is 120v AC so without a step up transformer the light will not function correctly.
We have been working on a 120v version and we are planning to release later this year so any further developments on that will be posted in this thread.

GN Thank you so much for this news as I have been interested in LED lighting for a long time. After reading all of your specs and seeing grows done with your lights, I personally feel that GN makes the best LED lamps in the world. I say this because of the rebel diodes and the drivers you guys speak very little about.

Naughty Step Holder
A quick question regarding the command unit when it becomes available. If I have read correctly, would you be able to program a gradual increase in light intensity replicating sunrise and a corresponding gradual decrease for sunset?
I'm not sure if this would have any benefit's in yield etc. but, it would certainly replicate a more natural environment as happens for outside grown plants as opposed to dark straight to full intensity in an instant!
