Brothers and sisters. I live in a place where the sun never sets on the summer, but it don't get too hot neither. A place where the police roam the forests in search of the weed, as if told by to by some pale freakish demon. A place where ... fuck it, I live in Scandinavia. A cold ass place for my plants and my weary bones. Here's the situation I'm facing, supposing you're willing to lend a hand to combat my dilemmas...

This year I'm attempting my first guerilla grow. My goal is at least two dozen harvested plants. I will grow in very secluded, scattered spots, with growbags, AF, all the sunlight my climate can afford, and plenty of care. However, I still need to choose the right strain from the right seedbank, supposing giving names of banks is not frowned upon here.

As for the strain, I will go into more detail on the situation I'm facing in the field. Sunlight won't be a problem in the day. The spots I have picked receive maximum exposure from dawn till dusk. The thing with the summer around here is that the sun never sets. That is, in the midnight there will still be plenty of light, enough to see your way through the darkest of forests. The temperatures can get quite high during the hottest of the day, while dropping exponentially towards the night. That is, the temperature changes are extreme, ranging from hot to very cold in a single day. The moisture changes are just as extreme. On a dry week of the midsummer, the sandpaper-like bushes are akin to a keg of gunpowder waiting to catch fire. As for the times of the autumn, the rains fall heavily from the sky, giving mold and rot to plants nontolerant of its pressure.

Despite all this, there is a healthy and growing community of outdoor growers in my country. This is where you, the outsiders, come in. You know the strains, the genetics, and the banks. The people of my country are separated from yours in this regard. Most plants grown are grown from seeds or clones, acquired from within the country itself. The dominant genetics here regarding automatics are from the first generation Lowryder, which is basically Russian Ruderalis mixed in with some Dutch indoor grown and some industrial hemp. I'm anxious to bring in some hot flavour from the mainland, that is, fresh genetics. The best of the best. What I'm looking for is obviously the ability to survive the given climate, the best yield, good indica quality of potent smoke, and ideal canopy level, which is about 3 feet, or one metre, given the amount of stealth I must level with against the forever-breathing-down-on-my-neck painintheasses.

So I'd sure appreciate your knowledge of the strains, uh. My people also suck at ending things.

well Ive done Cold weather training in the Military but not grown in that sort of climate.I'd bet RCMC is a solid place to start since they pretty much specialize(I believe)in northern growing and cooler climates and faster finishers as well.Give them a look man.excellent strains throughout.Best of luck brother. http://www.rcmcollective.ca/

I love the tone you use in your writing, I really enjoyed reading that. If you could please strive to continue just the way you are that would be fantastic :D The Dude has it spot on I think, RCMC would be a great first port of call. From what I've read there they have a nice selection of beans to fit your situation. Don't be intimidated by the lesser-known genetics either, if anything I have more faith in the breeders and their seed selected for sale than some of the bigger banks. The only difficulty is narrowing down what portion of their selection is autoflowering. There are also a few big-name strains marketed specifically for stealth though, smell and height wise, and I think perusing Attitude would at least give you an idea of what to start looking for in that regard. They have tons. Good luck and keep us updated! :dance2:

Welcome to AFN brother! Highrise Seeds @ RCMC breeds all their strains at latitude 45* north - They have a sterling reputation and are well represented here. You just can't go wrong. Low temps can really stunt growth, but you can't really adjust the climate out doors, so hope for warm weather.

The best waay to combat less than ideal outdoor conditions is to start with a strain tolerant of low temps, Like Highrise gear, veg them inside as long as you can then put them outside once they've established themselves with a decent healthy root - they'll be less prone to die off due to natural circumstances. There's tons of great guides here on AFN about how to get a good start to spring planting and how to preparre guerilla sites, even how to grow plants in buckets up trees. You'll find everything you need to feel comfortable and knowledgeable with a little surfing around here on the site.

Best of luck dude, and feel free to ask anyone of us specific questions or other general inquiries - if we don't know, we know who does.

I've reached out for some Highrise attention.. there may be some strains there that'll do good for you and some one from there would know best.. I'm sure there's something on RCMC for you and it's probably from Highrise.. while my first bit of Highrise gear is just now under way, I will say that it appears from general consensus and smoke reports that it's a connoisseur line of marijuana.

BAM! Grado comes out swinging every single time. Consider yourself thoroughly belted by the helphammer :dance2: haha geez I love this place.
