I grow inside a 4x4x6 ft tent. I usually use M3 soil and just water and a little Papa’s Perfect Poop 3 weeks into flower that are grown in 5 gallon fabric bags. I would like to try my hand at breeding. I have a male plant that is going to be raised outside and offsite from the location that I grow. I really don’t care how big it grows I just want pollen. Is it safe to keep it in a 3 gallon pot and just water it until I can harvest pollen? Would putting it in a 5 gallon help? Would I need to feed it later in life if its only in a 3 gallon pot?

Nothing should change if your soil is a water only type of soil mix. Bigger pots equal bigger plants. If you are talking about autos, pollen will be falling around week 6 from germ. You can use a 1 gallon pot of you're just gonna collect pollen and kill it.

If you are trying to "breed".. Then I would recommend growing any male out full term like you would any other plant. The male has the dominate traits that youll be passing on when making seeds. So knowing how long it takes to finish, how its smells change, it's growth patterns and flower structure are all important traits to watch for.

make Sure the male u use is stinky with nice structure and if he shows trics and early he’s a super stud. A great male is like gold in breeding easier to reverse females but legit work from regs I have serious admiration for
