Howdy folks
Back in August I dumped a bunch of popcorn buds of good old ghost train haze into some vodka. Some months after that (shook it periodically) I noticed a hazy film that build up on the weed that settled at the bottom of the jar.

I am wondering whether this could be tricomes or some other matter all together.
Here is a picture but it's tough to capture. Perhaps a video would be better. When agitated it's like a cloud. Looks pretty cool but what is it.....

why the long vodka soak what proof is it looks like resin heads to me

Oh once it got hazy I started to have some doubts and just left it alone. But if you think it's good I will give it a try. Although maybe I waited too long now? I figure the longer the better

It's standard vodka, 40% by vol /80 proof.

Isn't the alcohol to dissolve the trichomes and terpenes? If you can see it in the alcohol/water solution, it's not dissolved, it's plant junk, solid particles, cellulose. Consider filtering what you have to remove it.
