I've grow that strain several times and like it. I currently have an auto Sweet CBD that is 16:1 cbd/thc and I get zero relief. It's like vaping for the hell of it.
Interesting. I quit smoking thc bud years ago. Only got back into it a few months ago after doing my research on CBD for my pain issues. First strain I tried, locally sourced, was ~5% CBD/~2.5% THC (~2:1). Relief was instant. I didn't really like the strain though - taste, how it had been stored, etc - Seriously... why the *%$# do dispensaries tout themselves as 'for connoisseurs' when they don't even store their product at proper humidity? That really bugs me. Rant over. After that I found CBD hemp, and tried a few strains from an online vendor. They were all <0.3% THC and ~15%+ CBD. I've been very pleased with those, for long term pain management and the fact that I don't have the [undesired] psychoactive effects. Having enjoyed the effects of the ~2:1 that I first tried, I figured I'd experiment with strains that I chose more for their
ratio than just the overall CBD%. Hence industial and tonic ryder being my first two choices. I figure since I have a glut of ~20:1 buds, and will be growing ~2-2.5:1 stuff myself, I can blend them and see if I find a ratio that is optimal for my needs, and maybe choose different ratios based on my pain level, scenario I'm entering (i.e. work vs day off), etc. From there, I can maybe choose different strains based on that optimum ratio and what I want them for. EDIT: I will be getting my homegrown tested at a local lab, so I know what %s I'm really working with - not just guessing based on the breeder's stated levels.
Also... tonic ryder just looks so darned pretty. I figure just cuz I'm not smoking to get high, doesnt mean I shouldn't be able to enjoy some exotic colors, right?!
