Hi all!

Pretty much fresh off the wagon with this, had some experience a few years back but for sake of argument lets call me a newbie!

Been moving around a lot the past 5 years, but finally a little settled and have a great spot for a wee bit of growing! Fortunately here in ACT, Australia, growing two plants in soil is decriminalised. Time to put my hands to work!

Seeds just popped through soil this morning, hurray, so will start a new grow journal in the newbie section.

Growing in a 4x2x6
2 x 120 watt cfl's to start em off, then moving onto two Optic 1XL cob lights.
Planted in Canna's soil mix with Canna's organic line of nutes veg & bloom & boost.
Trying my hand at a bit of AACT too.

Hugely appreciate any advice, tips n tricks along the way.
Thanks guys!

Ola!

Best of luck on your grow mate. Canna soil & nutrient line should see you good. When I used canna soil I didn’t need to bother grow nutes as the soil saw me through the veg stage. Just go real easy on feeding to start [emoji1303]

Cheers mate, good to know! Hoping my compost tea gonna help them plants gobble up all that goodness! Was thinking 1/8 strength to start with, 3 weeks in or so. But will wait and see what the ladies want. Hopefully I'll have some extra eyes on them through my journal :)

I’ve never used teas(yet) but hear good things about blackstrap molasses. There are experts here on all aspects of growing so you chose a good place to journal your grow [emoji1303]

Makes perfect sense to get them roots healthy, amazing research coming out on the relationships between plants and their micro compadres! Teas seem the best organic way to get that soil thriving :D

Actually had a few basic questions over at my journal. Any advice is much appreciated!
