-Problem: Young leaves show yellowing and begin to develop speckled rust spots before beginning to cup upward, turn yellow/brown, become extremely brittle and die. Some older and middle aged leaves also affected my yellowing. Original symptoms appear most like a calcium or magnesium deficiency, thought some of the spots look like mite damage (though there are no mites on the plants).

-Medium/grow method: ProMix HP

-Feed and supplements used: Greenleaf Mega Crop, watered to around 800-1000ppm, previously pH was around 5.8-5.9, now ~6.2. I water from a watering can about every three days (based on weight of pots).

-Water source: Tap water that sits out over night to dechlorinate. pH is usually around 7.2 and ppm is ~150z

-Strain and age: Mephisto Forum Stomper, day 75

-Climate: High: 81F 66% RH Low: 72F 43% RH

- Light used: 240w LED QBs on a 18/6 cycle, around 24” from the tops.

-Additional info: About a month ago, I noticed what appeared to be a slight magnesium or calcium deficiency and so began supplementing with Cal-Mag, however it just got worse. I read up more and realized that I might have been watering with too low pH water for my medium (~5.8-5.9) and causing a lockout, so I then flushed with mild nutrient water (~600ppm) pHed to 6.3. Runoff began with a very high ppm and low pH, but was in normal range by the end of the flush. However, my problem only continued to get worse, and I figured that I might have a toxic salt buildup. So, about 5 days later, I flushed again with 3x the water at ~350ppm and 6.3 pH, but my problem only seems to continue getting worse. For the most recent water I returned to normal water (~900ppm and 6.2 pH), but haven’t noticed any improvements. Any ideas to help my girls make it to harvest without too much more damage? They only need to hold out for another couple of weeks! Also, I’m not sure if this is relevant, but this is my first time doing more extreme LST, and as a result the plants are a bit behind schedule.

Looks like cal-mag. I would flush. Looks like your close to harvest. How long b4 chop?

I’ve already flushed twice, so I’m not sure how much good more will do...

Getting close to harvest, maybe another week or two? Some of the trichomes are still cloudy, but most are clear now. Just starting to get a few ambers.

What light and distance are you using mate? I get similar if my HPS gets too close or heats up the tent too much. I like you chased my tale for two grows moved my light and used my dimmer at the correct stages and no more problems.

Not saying its not pH or anything but dimming or lifting a light is easy and free and you'd see a difference after a day.

I’m using a 240w LED Quantum Board light, at 32-18”, and my highest temperature in the tent is only 81F. I also thought that this might be the problem when it first started affecting the upper leaves, since I got some light burn/bleaching during my last grow when the light was too close. So, I raised the light from 18” to 24” and dimmed the light to 200w, but didn’t see any improvement.

Phosphorus... hard to run down till it presents fully. Could be either low P or lockout from pH. High calcium levels can aggravate the issue.

At this point, if chop is a couple weeks off, your probably best off just riding it out.

As Arthur said with a couple of weeks to go just ride it out, keep those nutrients going in to keep her going. I took a dinafem white widow to harvest after having all the leaves go like this around day 50, [emoji23] still a good smoke tho. Is this your first grow?

Second. First was one Sour Stomper from Mephisto. The grow for that one went perfectly, however I over-dried the bud initially and so messed up my curing. Otherwise, I was happy with the grow though. No nutrient issues at all, and just Mega Crop from sprout to harvest.

Man some phenos can just be picky, if it happens next grow change something if the first went fine its probably just a pissy plant [emoji849] you'll still get a smoke off it. Onwards and upwards to the next contender [emoji106]

I'd be interested to know your "in pot" pH and ppm. Betting it's out of whack and locking you out. I wouldn't flush as your in soil, but if you knew the pot pH @ the root zone, you could compensate to get it closer.
I use equal parts soil and water, left for about as long as it takes to get water thru a pot. Then gently insert pH probe. Haven't ever broke one, but have heard rumors about a hard hit on a piece of perlite.
Betting your pH has strayed north of 6.5.
