hello all, as title suggested, I hadn't noticed prior to harvest...millions of tiny white and green dots on my plants at harvest, at closer inspection seems to be many array of bugs under the microscope...what do i do?! it's my only plant. CBD high, buds are intact still... so annoyed. had to have an open cabinet with bedroom windows wide open 24/7 last 4 weeks as my bedrooms temp alone was 30c and plants were suffering. guess it attracted the bugs.

:(

cheers all

Google bud washing. I haven't done it but many have. Not necessarily for bugs but it should help. Good luck!

Peace

Sounds like aphids to me. Get yourself a bio product and spray it on the buds. I always use it and works great with no side effects. Neem oil repel is what you need to get.

...yeah, I saw a U-tube vid' on this! ... Milk', are you talking bugs on trimmed bud, or on the fans and some sugar leaves? Left alone, as the plant dried, most of the bugs will bail as well, no longer able to get juices from it,... depending on what you say about the infestation, how long ago you harvested, spraying may be out,... no neem though in any case, too much stanky oils! Use something with low residues, like a spinosad product, and let it work for a day, then try the rise trick,.. I can't offer you advise for that, having never done it before, but the vid's are plenty clear on what to do,.. an mentor friend of mine says he does a 2part rinse, one with clean tap water with a little lemon juice in it, then an RO water dip,...:goodluck:

howdy Milk,
I think the bottom line here is identification first. I have first hand experience of a heavy aphid infestation. I washed and washed the live plants; soapy water etc. eventually pulled the plug. the plants were infested. I hung them up in my attic. as Waira stated, they will leave the plant material as it dries out. let them dry completely then do some water curing with tepid water and no more than gentle agitation for a couple of hours, dry again, inspect with at least a 10x maginifier if we are talking about insects not visible to the naked eye-aphids are plainly visible.
Lemon juice, as Waira said, might help but I would advise against anything else, especially soap, as it will flavour the weed and no amount of reasonable washing thereafter will get rid of that taste.

Cheers for all the responses guys. I think it's a combination of aphids spider mites and some other weird looking stuff. The bugs are on the buds, leaves, everything. Been going on for a few weeks, I thought it was dust from the fan... I've made a thread about it in the indoor growing section. Not sure what to do with these buds. Guessing I'll just wait for them to dry out and see how it all goes. If anyone fancies checking out the thread and offering some advice though it would be greatly appreciated.
