G13 Pineapple Express Auto. It's in Happy Frog 30% extra perlite I'm feeding General Hydroponics two part A & B General Hydroponics calimagic and like those of General Hydroponics rapid start water pH 6.3 to 6.5 under 8 bulb T5 half blue and half red bulbs

:toke: -- can you get me closer pics? And your feed dosages and sched',... weird symptoms TB, but my first call here is a P defc.,... question is if it's a plain lack-of type defc., or an off pH one,... any chance you've taken a reading in the soil?

I have a pH pen digital I checked it against the liquid test everything looks good there. I had just bumped that plant up to a three quarter strength feeding General Hydroponics Floraduo quarter strength dose of Rapid start and 3/4 strength dose of calmag they get watered and fed every 3 to 4 days I water 2 gallons every time so I get quite a bit of runoff I don't water to the buckets feel like so they're getting their dry time I don't have a soil tester getting ready to flush this plant and I'll check the run off

Reading oldsters post on checking runoff makes me believe my soil is that 5.3. If that's the case can I fix this problem buy watering with a higher pH level say 7 or 7.1? @oldster

This. Also, I doubt it's underfeeding. It's likely to be a PH issue. It's too low (so, also CalMag def since it's get locked pretty much as low as P does. My bet - your PH pen lies and it's not 5.9 but more like 5.5-5.6. Do you have another one, or one you can borrow?

I don't have another but I can buy another. Will raising the pH of the water and feeding with helper do I have to do something to the soil itself I'm really new at this I've heard it said to plants but this is the first time I've run into this problem

Douple that what @qwezdan1 is saying. I have had similar looking issues when pH was too down on my DWC. This looks familiar. I am no expert on anything about soil but as a general approach to this I would gently over longer time try to fix this issue. I bet guys here will get to you about how to correctly do that. Good luck bro!

Wait a sec. I just googled Happy frog and it's 4 1 7! It's suuuuuuuper low on phosphorus. That just may be your case. I'm too high to offer you and drastic PH changes to your water since it may really shock the ladies in an unpredictable way. This soil is really low on P, man that all I can safely say

:eek1: wow, that's one of the most trippy defc. symptoms I've seen! the color rings around the necrotic tissue is very unusual,... P defc. still fits best, and it can be restricted or locked out by low pH,... here's a link to the run-off test and calculation- https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-for-run-off-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/
... this is an improved protocol to an otherwise lousy estimate test method! Too many sources of error inherent in it... Did you follow it to get those results?.. you can't take straight run-off and get an accurate pH, especially having used pH'ed water or nute soln.,... (best thing for soil is a pH probe, like the Accurate 8; check it out)..... All things considered though, it's very likely it too acidic in there, so a flush would be wise; how much water did you put through, and when did you take the test water sample, right at first run-off? Typically, a proper flush will start with 2-3x the pot volume of water, checking pH at the end, but before the final pour which should contain 1/4 strength nutes....
