DIY help me build a round spinning room

wow I wasnt even thinking about the barrings. thats why I posted this thread. so you're saying that if I get the right barrings then I could use a low power motor.
I'm thinking the weight of everything will be between 200 - 300lbs. I'm still not sure about size so any help with that would be great. I want 5 - 6 photos in the minimum amount of space but still enough for them to grow big.

not if you use that steel beast from the picture :)
i know i kid i kid that was just for comparison sake
i was looking to rotate four pallets w/ reinforced underneath for stability but would cheaply hold the weight hey they were free and weather/ heat treated for pests already so it was what i used one could build one similiar for less than $50 in wood and it would hold the weight just fine if cost was a slight corner it is easier for most to cut and nail than torch and weld:)

wood is fine if properly reinforced
i almost used half an axle from an old tractor but found dif barrings instead
the biggest issue is start load on the rotation if one was to leave it going it would be less wear on the motor and drive assembly choosen the initial torque needed to start the dead weight into motion is the real wear on the motor so the better the reduction of friction in the type of berrings used ie. the easier it turns the less force exerted on the motor and drive

it took so little force i was thinking about using a jank solution w/ a deciently sturdy oscillating fan unit and extending the drive pole connecting to the fan and everytime it went back and forth it would push then disengage sorta like standing on the side of the merrygoround and pushing the handle as it turns to increase speed
but i decided to overbuild instead
and called it quites when i could only use two metal rings and a large steel barring as a contact to have electricity and to make it safe the project was gettting toooo costly for just a bit of fun so i lost interrest there but ...
i was thinking for fun but never did it was make the rotation fairly fast fast enough to force a centrifical forced lst :)
but figured it would be slightly problematic as the bud weight increased and the buds became mini cat tails in the wind creating a whip like effect so i didn't go there
but good luck w/ yours

That's freakin awesome!

Glad you liked it. I creamed my pants when I saw it! I saw one using a tower led and another with an induction lamp. Thought it would be somewhat perfect with gems! Small plants mostly single cola revolving around a sun lol. :High 5:
